Get rid of Larry Johnson Please!!!
Larry has to go to the bench or be backup or trade him for something!
I am so tired of watching Larry Johnson half ass run up into the line of scrimmage this year, he looks slow and unmotivated also! Yeah he had a better game running the football this last week but anyone who has played the game can surely see he has slowed a step and just isnt a fit in this offense!! We need to get a back who can quick hit the hole, get to the corner and can catch the football on third down. Larry once was a grind it out rb but looks unmotivated to me. I am sick and tired of watching him run for 2 yards a carry!!!! If its the o-line then put Charles in to create in space. Larry can't do this. If he doesnt fit the puzzle then get him out of here, PLEASE!!!

This again?
No one is going to give us anything for him. No sense in cutting him. Run his ass into the ground.

Change of pace?
Couldn’t we use LJ as more of a short yardage guy and let Savage/Charles take more of the workload?
by Chiefsfan1970 on Oct 20, 2009 9:42 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Good morning 1970
the problem with that thinking is it’s unrealistic…Larry can’t get short yardage when it counts…he gets short yardage on plays designed for long yardage.
That’s why we have 0 rushing TD’s this year…..he is pathetic and a shell of his former self.
Now I hope that changes. I hope he meditates or smokes crack or beats his new girlfriend; whatever motivates him, so he can find his inner beast and get to work.
In reality though, there’s nothing right with him right now.

Finally someone with a little sense on here!!! LJ sucks! Please play Charles!!! Playmakers make touchdowns not running backs who gain 2 yards a carry!!!

LJ
I would rather have a rb who can create in space in this offense than a broke dick wannabe rb who doesnt want to be here to begin with!! time to put his ass on the bench for back up duty and give Charles a chance to show us what we have with him, if he doesnt fit then we know we will need to get him out of here to for next year!! Kolby will be back before long and maybe he can provide a sprark to this team in the running game! I do not want Larry in there anymore he sucks ass and is slow. if you are turning the ball over on downs you might ass well risk a fumble here and there and see what wee have with this charles kid!!!
by kidderfan1 on Oct 20, 2009 9:46 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
You really think its LJ and not the fact that we have zero interior line?
Waters- washed up
Niswanger – bum
Goff – bigger bum
Charles isn’t built for 20+ touches a game. Kolby Smith can’t stay healthy even with minimal touches. Let LJ take the hits now and next year, when we hopefully have an improved line plug in a new RB.

no way in hell
it’s LJ…….the line is no help for sure, but if you’ve even remotely watched LJ all season he CANNOT break the first tackler…..he can’t break anything anymore.
He’s had plenty of opportunities to get extra yardage but when you fall down after the first touch…your done…LJ’s done.

ok dude, first off try using punctuation ... your comment at 846 is only two words short of the Guinness Record for Longest Run-On Sentence
next, to say a player “sucks ass” is insane and ridiculous, sophomoric and really not needed … now, to say he’s slow, lost a step, whatever … sure, have at it … give REASONS why you want or don’t want a player
thirdly, LJ just had a DECENT day against the Redskins, and I am NOT an LJ supporter by any means
lastly, this has been hashed out over and over and over again … I think it might behoove you to read thru a few older fanposts or SOMETHING before making a fanpost with your FIRST COMMENT but hey, that’s your right – and since this whole LJ thing, pro and con, is such OLD NEWS around here, I hereby award you the Dead Horse of the Day Picture

LJ
I am simply saying, give Charles a shot to prove his worth. People are saying he can’t carry a load and carry the ball 20 times a game> I say he could. At Texas he was 4th all time in rushing 05-07, with 533 attempts, 3328 yds @ 6.2 a carry and scored 36 touchdowns. He also was 5th all time with single season record of 1,619 yards on 258 attempts, and 5th all time with 18 touchdowns for a single season. If you compare his numbers to another pretty good rb who played for us by the name of Priest Holmes, you will find that the numbers are almost identical, if Preist would have started the two years he backed up Rickey Williams . Oh and by the way his 18 touchdowns for a season are tied with another pretty good running back by the name of Earl Cambell! All I am saying is give this kid a chance to see what we have, put up with a few fumbles to see what he can do. This makes more sense than running Larry into the ground for 2 yards a carry!!

well...
I said we should’ve traded him when he held out a few years back. We could have gotten soooo much for all the money we paid him, with the right kind of choices when building an O-line you can build an effective running game without spending the big bucks on a RB. It’s too late now……Talking about it now is just….

overkill

ILL SPEC YOU ARE CORRECT.
i would have to say broncos when they traded portis i was up in arms. but ya know what they were just that talented. they had a great oline rb are a dime a dozen. and when guys like lj look good its only because of the oline he has . I never really jumped on the lj band wagon because i always felt he had no emotion on the field he was no bettis or faulk he just seemed what ever to me either way i knew he was running behind the best line ever. and i knew he wasnt that great. fact is we just need a line and jamaal charles will look like the next gayle sayers ill tell you that right now.

wahhh wahhhhh wahhh wahh
has the best game of this young season and you guys are crying over getting rid of him still? alot of you guys are watching a completely different game, everyone is is commenting that Larry is running with a purpose……… except for people that expect us to go 16-0 every season
Since when did chiefs fans turn into Yankees fans?

Concur
LJ looks to be gaining ground. The line is the problem. Get this man some blockers and he’ll produce like he did back in the day. He seems to be running with a purpose now. Hell, he only gets stronger as the season progresses. He’ll start getting his 100-yard games again, starting this Sunday.
Put this in your pipe and smoke it:
1. Chiefs will be at least 8-8 and vie for division champs
2. DJ will break out and finally have his year
3. LJ returns to form
4. DBowe drops will reduce

What about the Haley factor? He was able to produce a dangerous offense with the best WR corps in the NFL, they didn’t have much of a run game. Maybe the head coach doesn’t understand how to successfully run the ball in the NFL? I don’t get everyone’s butt hurt over LJ.
