How to Make The Worst Decision in Fantasy History

- Feel free to use this post for any and all Fantasy Football discussion about today

So, in one of my fifteen fantasy leagues, I had a lineup decision to make this morning.   Below is how I completed the largest FAILITUDE in fantasy football history:

Me:  Hmmm.  Donovan McNabb is on my bench but he is playing the Raiders.  He is going to put up massive points.

Common Sense:  Dude, you already have Tom Brady starting.

Me:  Oh, I know, but the Patriots offense has not been great this year and McNabb is playing the freaking Raiders.

Common Sense:  True, but "The Brady" is playing the Titans whose entire secondary is injured…and they are 0-5.

Me:  Hey, I just saw the forecast for the game.  It is supposed to be heavy rain and windy.

Common Sense:  It is Tom Brady.

Me:  WAIT!  The forecast is now for a heavy, slushy, snowy mix with wind.  I’m going with McNabb against the Raiders.

Common Sense:  Dude, are you serious?  TOM BRADY.

Me:  I’m definitely going McNabb today.

Common Sense:  DUDE??!!

….20 seconds later

Me:  You know, if it is going to be a slushy & windy mess that means the Pats will probably just throw a bunch of little screens when they do pass.  Wes Welker won’t be able to juke and cut in that.

Common Sense:  No...just stop now.

Me:  I really should bench Welker too, besides I can put NYG Steve Smith in his place.  He is going to score a ton against the Saints in a shootout.

Me:  I’m so awesome.  You're seeing this great decision making right?

Common Sense:  /snarf

Common Sense: /giggle    Huh?  Oh yeah, I am seeing it.

Wow dude....

That is one of the biggest fails I have ever had the misfortune of hearing.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

Seriously

2 players – 80 points…on the freaking bench. GARRRR.

Erykah Badu, I have accepted your proposal. So, Mrs. DTR, let's get to consummating...you are on notice.

I did ...

the same exact thing. Your logic made perfect sense. I even picked up J.Maclin.

this was one of those weeks I knew I was going to lose anyway...

had 5 starters with bye weeks… not a good recipe for success…. I had to leave one roster spot with a player on a bye just so I didn’t lose any of my players picking up a waiver wire guy… boooo

Not near as bad, but

I benched Z. Miller as my TE after starting him all year because I was tired of the epic fail that is the Raiders offense. My TE got me 1 point while Miller had over 100 yards and a TE.

In case I haven’t gone on record with this before.

I HATE THE RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE THEIR TEAM, I HATE THEIR OWNER, and I HATE THAT WE HAVE TO SHARE OUR FIRST WIN WITH THEIR UPSET OF PHILLY!!!!!!!

It's a good thing Pioli and Haley aren't running AP or a lot of you guys would of been traded or cut for cast offs from the Pats Pulpit.

Doesnt compare really...

but one move that caused me to lose a game this week was by having Colston on the bench and Sammy Morris in the flex spot.

I almost started Carson Palmer over Brees

thinking Hey the Giants are good… But then I was like… WHAT THE FUCK AM I THINKING!!! ITS DREW FUCKING BREES!

I thought...

I made by lineup changes like last Monday and I got drunk last night so I didn’t get up until the games just started. I left R Wayne in when he has a bye. I benched Tom Brady over Farve. (he still had a decent game, but still). I had the Giants defense who hurt me by taking away 7 points. However, I am tied with the guy right now with 88 points and I still have two players to play (Marshall and Moreno) and has no one left. Talk about lucky. Thank god for M Jones-Drew and Owen Daniels. I think if I started Brady I would have had the best QB, RB and TE of this week.

Also...

shoutout to my boy D Bowe. He got me a solid 10.

I lost because the Giants' D got shredded

My thinking: I know it’s Drew Brees and Co., but surely that crazy pass rush will slow them down and force some turnovers.

Five minutes later, when the game was already 14-0 Saints: B’oh.

-1 point. That’s what the Giants Defense got for me. If they had been even below average instead of terrible, I would have won. Since it was Lord Peyton’s bye week, I didn’t expect to win anyway, but Matt Ryan filled in admirably with his 14 points. I could have sneaked out with one. Damn.

In other news, a guy in my fantasy league started Tom Brady, Maurice Jones-Drew, and Thomas Jones today. From those 3 players alone, he scored 101.7 points. Ridiculous.

That guy has assertive common sense

unlike my dipshit, passive-aggressive, common sense.
