Around SBN: Jeremy Lin Sets Assist High In Easy Win Over Sacramento

Draft Notes: Todd Reesing

Probably to short to be a NFL Quarter back at 5"11 but has great skills heres my notes.

1 good foot work and is a guy who will make the lineman run with his feet work.

2 keeps the play alive with his speed.

3 has great pocket presence and intangibles.

4 strong arm and can fit the ball in the smallest holes.

5 good accurate arm with good receivers and with a bad offensive line will he keep the play alive for his team.

6 multi threat quarter back if no recivers are open he will pick up a first down with his legs.

NFl comparison Tyler Thigpen

I would start putting all these into one thread....

If you don’t mind….it would keep things a little more organized.

not a fan

but, then again, I hate EVERYTHING related to KU

* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season

He...

won’t even get drafted. I think he’s even shorter than 5’11". Good luck in the CFL Todd.

I Think He'll Be A UDFA If Anything

And yes, I think 5’11" is probably generous…more like 5’9" or shorter.

As for the CFL, he’s made it pretty clear in interviews that he doesn’t consider the NFL a major priority and that he’s interested in moving into business or economics for grad school and beyond, so I doubt we’ll see him trying to carve out a career for himself in pro sports if the NFL doesn’t come calling. Smart kid…he’s got a life outside of sports.

Predictions for 2009

1. Todd Haley's going to struggle with managing his staff in his rookie year as head coach.
6. The Chiefs will go 7-9 in 2009, good for 2nd in the AFC West. Revision: We go 5-11 and finish behind Oakland.
7. Ryan Succop will not perform better in 2009 than Connor Barth did in 2008.
8. The Chiefs will have a bottom 10 defense this year.
9. RB will be a problem area this season on offense.

Yeah it is nice to see a kid with a realistic backup plan....

…I hope at least, assuming he doesn’t get drafted, he goes and tries out for some teams. I can think of a lot worse jobs than sitting on the bench with an NFL team making minumum salary.

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

I have met the guy in Lawrence bars

he is shorter than tiny tim.

Thats true..

I played against the guy when he was in HS at Pittsburgh and the guy was literally the entire team.

Dunno if I’d use a mid rd. draft choice on him though…

I like Daryl Clark from Penn St. a lot better

and we want a SHORT Tyler Thigpen clone ... why??? oh yeah ...

we don’t

unless, of course, the Chiefs plan to rehire Chan Gailey and go to the Wildcat fulltime, and spend however long to get Reesing up to speed as an NFL QB who can’t see over his front line (Goff being the exception as he’d still be in a 3-point stance)

yeah when your best comparison is to thigpen..no go. also QB is the absolute last thing we need to talk about

He isnt even interested in playing pro ball

He comes from a rich family and is a brainiac, and graduating with a double major in accounting and somehitn else. He has told many people though that he doesnt even want to play pro ball. I have ran into him many times on campus and yea… saying he is 5’11" is probably with his cleets on.

Another overrated Big 12 North QB.

See Chase Daniels…

I remember Dawson to Taylor, Kenney to Carson, and Blackledge catching the snap in his facemask. Seen it all...

No stars there either

but you don’t see any crazy articles about them being drafted by the Chiefs. Get a local school QB to throw for a couple hundred yards against poor secondaries and everyone wants the Chiefs to draft them number 1! Fact is, it’s hard to find a true NFL QB in the draft. Most that have big careers in college were just heaving the ball downfield to wide open receivers.
