I talked to some folks in the know Wednesday about Dorsey and nothing seems to be brewing. Dorsey has improved in his second NFL season so the Chiefs may want to have patience with him. Plus, he would cost a lot for any team interested, which would make a deal unlikely.

it gives them something to talk about
1 Arrowhead drive has a tighter lock down on info then Ft. Knox does on gold. since the media has nothing to go on, they start to make shit up.

Why dont the buck's take him?
See…what I dont see…
It is entirely possible we will pick about 2nd this year in the draft where the bucks will pick maybe 3rd.
It is likely that the Buck’s will be targeting Ndamukong Suh as they are in desperate need a Good DT for their 4-3.
Now…
It is widely believed that Suh isn’t even in the same ball park of talent as Dorsey when it comes to 4-3 DT.
The Bucks might even save money if they traded with us for Dorsey for their 1st round pick…straight up.
It has been shown that DTs usually start to shine till their 3rd or 4th year with their team ala Warren Sapp. Dorsey will be in his 3rd year next year and Suh wont be ready till the 2112 season by this reasoning.
Also, Dorsey has shown that the worries about his knees when he was originally drafted were false. He is mostly a regular starter without recurrent problems.
Dorsey was not allowed to do what he does best under Herm which is that quick step rush of the QB.
Now in his second year, he is showing signs of life in a position he was never built to play, he is geting his instincts down in a faster environment than DT as a 3-4 DE.
If….
this trade were to go through. We could get Russell Okung with our first 1st pick. Slide Albert over to RT (where he started out).
Then draft Carlos Dunlap with our 2nd pick. We would have a true freak of a right side rushing defensive end with this guy.
Ok…so what do you guys think

A few problems
1. We do suck, but I firmly believe that we will not be picking before Tampa Bay. They’re TERRIBLE.
2. There’s no way a team in need of talent trades their #1 pick for a DT that has been average thus far. I agree that DTs take time to develop and Dorsey will be very good, but the Tampa Bay fan base (is that a real thing?) would be up in arms if they traded a top five pick for him.
3. If we have two top 10 picks next year and don’t take either Berry or Mays with one of them, then Pioli should get a swift kick in the junk.
It's a good thing Pioli and Haley aren't running AP or a lot of you guys would of been traded or cut for cast offs from the Pats Pulpit.

wow...that's a tough porkchop
If I disagree with you then that means we have to lose more than the bucs do….If I don’t disagree with you then they get Suh and we don’t lmao….quit making this difficult for me…we’ve gotten along just fine this long without getting along….now you come along with your facts and truth and prooof…great…now what am I supposed to do?? Sorry what I meant to say was
Dude, wouldn’t it be like totally awesome if we could trade LJ, Goff, and Niswanger for the #1 pick overall. Then turn around and trade DJ for the #2 overall, and Dorsey for the #3 overall. We will have the #4 overall so TOTAL DRAFT DOMINATION!!!!!!!!
How’s that?
It's a good thing Pioli and Haley aren't running AP or a lot of you guys would of been traded or cut for cast offs from the Pats Pulpit.

Can you imagine the salary cap implications having the top 4 draft picks?!!
The right 53? We couldn’t afford the right 23.
Week 6 Prediction:
Kansas City Chiefs 77 - Washington Redskins 2

That's where Pioli uses his Jedi mind tricks on the agents.
Next thing you know Drew Rosenhouse is paying the signing bonus himself and Eugene Parker gets all his picks in on time for less then the slotted amount. THIS CAN WORK PEOPLE!!!!

Anyone who trades a #1 pick for LJ, Goff, and Niswanger
is insane..The only player worth a damn in that trade is LJ…Goff and Niswanger will probably be cut after this season

you know doing that would mean we would have 2 guys we would have to pay the money for those picks to sign them and i know the chies have cap space but after that it would be shoot to hell

Actually
I think if we had 2 top 10 picks whcih definitely will not happen that we’d trade one b/c some team would want to trade up to get one of the qbs that are coming out. I mean if we had our pick and Bucs pick we’d definitely be in the top 5 for one if not both of the those picks.

I'd be fine with 9-7 or 10-6 and competiting for the divsion title

I read through this whole post
Wondering if we either got another expansion team or the Milwaukee Bucks had finally found an answer to players like Latrell Sprewell…

KCporkchop...
1. We do suck, but I firmly believe that we will not be picking before Tampa Bay. They’re TERRIBLE.
De-nial is in Egypt…yah were going to be picking before the Bucks.
2. There’s no way a team in need of talent trades their #1 pick for a DT that has been average thus far. I agree that DTs take time to develop and Dorsey will be very good, but the Tampa Bay fan base (is that a real thing?) would be up in arms if they traded a top five pick for him.
I thought I explained the “average” thing with my post. And screw Tampa Bay fan base. Like we have a “torches and pitchforks” influence over our GM (Aaron Curry cough cough) the Bucks GM will do what is best for the team….given he knows what that is
3. If we have two top 10 picks next year and don’t take either Berry or Mays with one of them, then Pioli should get a swift kick in the junk.
A safety with a top 5 pick on “our” team. Hold on a sec while I stop laughing. Should we bring Herm back too? Im sure he would be hot for a safety or corner in the top 5. Only thing worth a top 5 is a franchise Left Takle…Okung a QB or a rushing 3-4 DE Dunlap. Dont get me wrong…Berry and Mays are great players and will be great on a team with a pre established O-line a QB and a solid front line to their defense. But until we get that, forget about a top 5 pick safety.

well
You could be right about #1, but I hope not.
- will never happen in a million trillion years. Never. Period. Really, it won’t happen.
- Have you seen what guys like Ed Reed and Polamalu bring to their teams? That is worth every penny of a top 5 pick. If we had a playmaker back there of their caliber I think it would of won us both the Oakland and Dallas games.
It's a good thing Pioli and Haley aren't running AP or a lot of you guys would of been traded or cut for cast offs from the Pats Pulpit.

...
Lets agree to disagree porkchop
with the quantum physics of how Pioli picks his top draft pics we could take a safety or an OT…I really have a hard time getting into his head. I give it 50/50.
I just hope this doesn’t turn into an 08 draft selection argument I had with a certain moderator on a certain other chiefs blog. He felt that Ryan Clady was too dumb to be a franchise tackle in the NFL (ala wonderlic scores). I felt differently. He has paid every day since haha.
I also still think we shoulda taken Curry and traded up for Alex Mack. But what the hell do I know.
(writing in notes porkchop bullish on top safties) time will tell

oh and...
your probably right…if we had a Reed or Polamalu we might have won a game or two. But I want to build a good solid team. I dont want 5-11 or 6-10 with a good safety. I want 14-2 with a superbowl in 2012-2013 building the team the right way. I think pioli is the right guy to build that…even if im not sure what the hell he is doing.
