Ratliff said video of the Chiefs games showed that long snapper Thomas Gafford was slow to raise up after releasing the ball.

With that in mind, the Cowboys coaching staff instructed Ratliff to leap over Gafford. Ratliff did just that after Gafford snapped the ball with 3:15 left and the score tied 13-13.

He and Goff just sat there in there stance like the play never started. At least Gafford had a reason to have his head down in the first place (to snap the ball). What the hell was Goff doing?!?!?!?!?!?

It's a good thing Pioli and Haley aren't running AP or a lot of you guys would of been traded or cut for cast offs from the Pats Pulpit.

The announcer noticed it in the Giants game,and we didn’t fix it.The gurus say you can run to the outside all day on the Cboys-we did once all day(and got some good yards).Maybe while looking at film they should try listening as well. just saying.

Sure enough

I was about to post that. The announcer actually circled the guy in a freeze-frame, with him having his head still down after the snap on either a field goal or a PAT. That’s terrible that it was conspicuous enough to draw the attention of a commentator but not our own special teams coach.

Ratliff actually did it twice

I went back and watched the game over.

He actually did it the first time, on Succop’s 2nd made field goal. Ratliff hurdled the long snapper and just barely missed blocking the kick.

So, that one where he actually did block the kick, they have no excuse for, because it was the second time he did it.

Someone explain it to me

Why would someone stay in the stance so long? Is there an advantage to it?
If there isn’t, it is just laziness, which is inexcusable and the biggest f*ck up of the week that wasn’t made by Dre Bly.

is that on a long FG attempt, they are supposed to stay low, because of the low trajectory of the kick…

but not THAATTT low!

I was listening to the audio stream with Lenny, Mitch and Kendall

and Kendall said that the gap responsibility fell to the guards. It’s almost impossible for the center to try and do anything other than cut block from that position, so the guards have to squeeze down and make sure no one jumps the gap.

Now I dont get this facist crap...

I dont know who the mods are except one ( Ucrawford) But this is the 3rd or 4th time that ive seen people making these ban threats. I can understand banning someone for personal attacks or cussing. But when did it become ok to punish people for speaking their minds. True, I dont enjoy seeing “The Chiefs Suck” All The Time But really, The Bill Of Rights is way more important then Ego. Also, Who doesn’t want to display their anger about the Chiefs sometimes. This is about the only place to do it. The Bill of Rights says the Government cannot make any infringement on your right to free speech. It says nothing about Chris or Joel Thorman. Arrowhead Pride is a privelege and it can be taken away. The threats you heard and the existing post on the topic only are encouraging people to stop being obnoxiously negative…We encourage constructive opinion, not obnoxious nonsense.

Its done and over with… ive spent time today picking at the last game but im done with all that now. Nothing we can do now except look ahead to this weeks game and see if the team can try to figure out whats is obvious to so many other people and fix that stuff……….sigh

So we got burned on one

It did happen twice...if you go back and watch Succops 1st FG

then you can see him jumping over but he missed that time but he still cleared Gafford. Gafford and Goff need to be running alll day long for those stupid mistakes. They got lucky the first time but unfortunately they got fucked the second time.
