So murderers' row is over.

Going into the season we all knew this was the hardest part of the schedule.  Sure we all probably thought we would have beaten the Raiders, but we didn't.   we are 0-5 which is the worst possible outcome.  We showed sparks in a couple of games.  The Redskins will be our first win, which I wasn't counting before the season.

Things will look up soon enough.  The Chargers aren't what the preseason hype promised.  These losses all suck but next week things will look different.

+ INFINITY!

It is a new Era at Arrowhead. I do not yet know if it is one of greatness or one of ineptitude. I am excited to see which way it goes, and will support my team until the end, bitter or sweet!

Tying the Raiders is the best thing ever right now.

Yep…The Skins will be the first victory…well thats what i tell myself every week.

Bowe and Wade FTW.

Murderer's Row was a blessing.

I’ve posted this before, but the bitch of a first half schedule was a great thing for this team to deal with. If you want to be an elite team, you have to beat the other elite teams, not hope you play them on a week when they are banged up and maybe you can eek out a win. The Chiefs got a chance to measure themselves against 3 very strong teams and Dallas may be a playoff team, too. (Is it me, or does Wade Phillips always look stunned and lost?) Having to compete against good teams should make the team better. In other words, that which doesn’t kill you just makes you stronger.

Toby is in HR, which technically means he works for corporate, so he's really not a part of our family. Also, he's divorced, so he's really not a part of his family.

Good point

I like that they’ve had to play these teams. Even the Faders game was a positive because it showed our most glaring weaknesses against a very weak team. We’ve seen both ends of the spectrum. I think things have definitely improved (at least in a few areas) after week two, and the following weeks have shown that we really have to step it up a notch to be able to compete.

I’m hoping that’s exactly what will happen – step it up another notch after seeing the results so far. If they show improvement after being able to hang with the good teams, then they should be playing well enough to beat the mediocre teams, therefore gaining momentum after a couple of wins. I’m not sure if it will happen or not, but I try to keep a positive viewpoint. :)

These matchups have sucked for us

The matchups we faced were just awful for a team with a weak, rebuilding offensive line.

The Ravens have a great front 7, everyone knew that would be a tough matchup for our OL. But up until a week before the Raiders game, their DL looked fairly weak. Then they go out and add Richard freaking Seymour to go with their previous new addition Ellis, and suddenly they are a bad matchup for our weak line.

Philly and the Giants and Dallas all are very tough on the DL. Dallas hadn’t been getting the pass rush so far, but it was only a matter of time before DeMarcus Ware got going, and of course it happened against us.

I was hoping the Redskins would be a better matchup for us, i.e., have a weak front 7. But Haynesworth is back from his injury and Orakpo is getting better, with 2.5 sacks in the last 3 games. So it could be another struggle to score and move the football yet again, and Cassel’s probably going to get hit another 15 times.

It’s always tough when you have a weak OL, but it’s worse when you never face any teams with a weak front 7.

3-13

We beat the Raiders, Bills and Browns

I say 5 victories this year

we’ll split with the Broncos, Raiders and Chargers.

The Broncos have been playing injury free so far, that won’t last.

Jamarcus Russel has found a way to get worse, that trend continues.

The Chargers will choke to us again like last year, but this year we won’t choke back and hand them the win.

The Bills defense is getting chewed up by injuries and the Browns a in complete shambles.
