My take on the LJ in KC situation

PrintBy now we are all aware that there is a serious problem with LJ at RB. He has a 2.4 average through 5 games this season. This is leading to numerous 3rd and long situations that the Chiefs are just not good enough on offense to convert. My opinion is that the piss poor play of LJ can be pinned on 3 different attributes.
First of all, why is LJ taking the ball on draw plays? HES A BIG RUNNING BACK!!!!! He NEEDS to be taking the ball on dive plays and gaining a 4.0 average at least. BUT he cant do that. Know why? The Center of our line (Niswanger and Goff) is atrocious, so there is almost no chance of a dive play even working without it getting blown up in the backfield. But in my opinion, LJ should still be able to make the dive play work, but hes lost his enthusiasm to run, and truthfully, so would I.
So what is our solution to this problem? I don't know. Maybe trade LJ or trade for a decent guard or center.Maybe let Charles have some more running plays, at least he can make the draw play work. One things for certain. This is a problem that CANNOT continue for the full 16 game season.

If we trade LJ for a decent C or G
then what would be the point?
Charles and Savage can do draw plays fine….Get a good C or G and keep LJ then things will improve.

Every week he makes sure we have The Right 53 players, and if Todd Haley thinks Goff and Niswanger give our beloved Chiefs the BEST chance to win, then by golly it’s good enough for me! (begin sarcasm font) upamtn is such a good die hard Chief fan that no matter if he likes what is happening with his team he is always on their side. He always has a good word to help us fans that are having a hard time with the way things going. He knows that the Chiefs may be down right now but they need real fans to be behind them not the ones that are always so negative. He knows the Chiefs will turn it around, He is always the first one to find the bright spot in his beloved Chiefs. (end sarcasm font)

in all seriousness, I don’t care for Pioli or Haley … that said, yeah, I too am a fan and I too want the team to do well … I just don’t care for the way these guys go about doing whatever it is they’re doing … I don’t owe them any blind loyalty nor do you or any other fans, and from the record it seems they haven’t been making all the right moves
the old adage “My country right or wrong” is a crock … it needs to be “My country and there ARE issues and I want to see them fixed” – that applies to my favorite team(s) as well (and I hate seeing the Royals go into the tank as much as the Chiefs)
the team, the players, don’t come to AP or other blogs for “support” and for the vast majority of NFL players they could care less what any of us think, just as Pioli or Haley could care less what we say or think …
as for you or any other fan “having a hard time with how things are going” … well, I guess you could go cheer for a team that was winning a lot of games, if it bothers you that the Chiefs are losing a lot, I dunno what to say, man … I love the Chiefs, been a fan since mid-60’s when I was a kid and I wish they were winning as they did in the 60’s and 90’s … I guess maybe console yourself knowing the team gets a high draft pick (just a thought) and knowing it HAS to get better (cuz yeah, can’t get much worse)
