Bernard Pollard led the Houston Texans with 6 tackles and 2 assists today...I wonder if he could have made some of those key missed tackles today. I'm not putting it all on Brown's shoulders, as Leggett was actually the one covering Austin. I am all for making plays on the ball, but if you aren't very good (Leggett), you should be more concerned with keeping the WR in front of you...especially in OT.

Leggett is a ball hawk
But he HAS to learn that when he goes to defend a pass, he has to either make sure he actually deflects it or make sure he still makes the tackle.
Its not that Leggett is getting beat most of the time. Its mostly that he goes to bat the ball away, misses, and then is out of position to make the tackle. Since for WHATEVER freaking reason our Safetys are never there to back him up, they go for big plays.
Pollard getting a lot of tackles doesn’t surprise me. He was always one of the leading tacklers on the Chiefs.

yes, and Pollard also led the team
in being pictured coming up on play action fakes while a tight end or wideout eases in behind him for a TD

Is Brown any better?
Not that I’ve seen.

at least he's in position
he can’t pull the trigger any more, but its better than the void that Pollard left all too often

So it's better to be in position and not be able to make the play
than to try to make a play elsewhere on the field?
Odd….
but what do I know because I'm so negative and know nothing about anything...ever...

if nothing else by being in position
Brown can assume the fetal position and the wideout or whoever has just beaten everyone else like a gong will trip over him
