The Best and the Worst

Which chiefs (relative to the team itself) are playing the best, and which are playing the worst?

My Picks:

Best:

Cassel - a very good leader if nothing else. He's taking a beating and still making plays when given the chance

Colquitt - bad ones here and there but generally he wins the field position fight for us. top punter in net yds

Hali- closest thing to a pass rush we can muster

O'callaghan - not shattering opponents but a pleasant suprise at RT

Worst:

Niswanger - god awful. just gets blown up constantly.

Goff- see above.

Secondary - getting torched on big plays

Hmm...

Best-
Bowe- Came up with huge plays today. Finally got seperation from Jennings. And still shows that he isnt a 1 year wonder.

Colquitt- Great punting. Everyone shanks one sooner or later but is the best player on our team as of now. Leads the NFL in net yards like you said. Had some GREAT kicks today.

Cassel- He is not turning it over as much as he could be and he is making smart moves. Still has bad plays but overall a good QB. (When you say a leader i dont think Cassel is one. Leaders need to pump up the team, talk to them on the sideline, and have people trust him…to me Cassel isnt doing that)

Worst-
MLB- Mays gets burned every play over the middle and blows tackles.

Safeties- Again…giving up too many big plays

The O Line- just Pathetic.

I agree with the assesment of cassel

Usually when a QB is running for his life… and having .00001 seconds to throw, it creates turnovers… he’s done a nice job of making safe decisions and not putting us any further into the hole….

Goff blew the game...

He stayed in his stance and was hopped over….allowing the blocked FG….

Stayed. In. His. Stance.

Even worse, he never even raised his head.

At least watch the guy jump over your sorry ass, Goff. :)

What about the twinkie?

I, too was outraged

but mainly because the center being jumped over was pointed out in the Giants game LAST WEEK!! The announcers of the Giants game even said " Watch this play and it will come back to haunt them later". They really didn’t mean a week later, but they still called it.

According to Gammon after the game that is on the guards, not the snapper. It’s a big chance that hardly ever works. Things like this even out in the end.

Sorry I read that wrong….was thinking you were talking about the snapper. In that case you’re right! Alleman will have his job in the next two weeks.

by JComp11 on Oct 11, 2009 9:53 PM CDT up reply actions

Lol..

I figured that was the case. All is well…

But yea…watch the replay…freaking ridiculous…Easily avoidable pretty much just by standing up…

Ha!

Here was my comment about it in the game thread as it happened.

We think alike, again.

What about the twinkie?

In the Star...

Gafford says they are coached to go under them…and go low…

My reply: Well, YOU DIDN’T MOVE!!!! That would have worked too…if you had done it!!!!!! Take their feet out from under them…whatever…just MOVE!

Add Succop for still being perfect on the year.

That blocked kick wasnt his fault.

Bowe and Wade FTW.

I'd also say Alleman was an instant surprise next to O'Callaghan when Goff went down

I know I was one that said he should play center instead of rudy, with ndukwe moving in for goff...but if alleman can be our guard, great...

my best/worst

Best

Cassel: I refuse to accept that “hes not a leader”…he IS a leader. how can one say he doesnt pump up his teammates? he does, and did when he went up the gut for late in the game. Cassel goes all out, takes hits and gets right on up, he may miss some throws, but with better players, and time, hes dangerous…also people fail to notice that hes dominant in the red zone. He will only get better, and at a 6/0 td/int in the last 3 games of getting beatdown by DE’s/DB’s/LB’s….im impressed.

Colquitt/Succop obvious

Dorsey looked good, as did Bowe

Bad
Leggett-wont beat a dead horse
LJ-why why why carl why contract extension from he11
Goff-terrible, should be cut.

im on the callaghan band wagon

and i really really really know im going to get beat up for this but in my opinion we need to get a franchise o tackle move albert to the other side or move him to guard when waters goes. what we should do call me crazy is get a free agent tackle who has experience thats step one then move albert to guard and then get a tackle in the draft with our second round pick or first pick and we are set for years so our line would be

free agent - albert- anyone but rudy - waters- draft pick

No argument here!

Dominant LT would upgrade 2 positions with one move.
