ESPN just had a story about Todd Haley using a Bill Parcells tactic in practice on Friday. Said Haley was fed up with the team, and pulled all the coaches off of the field, made the players figure it out for themselves.
Waters, Ryan and Vrabel took over and led the rest of practice.
Any other information out there about this?

I saw that report on ESPN too.
The fact that it happened during the Friday practice has tempered the hope I had for today’s game.
What about the twinkie?
"All praise Chiefus."
Remember, ts just a tactic. It might very well help the team win today
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!

hopefully, the team will rally together and take matters into their own hands on the field
but, ideally, the team would be well prepared and ready to go on Friday, instead of pissing the coach off that much
* "I doubt anyone will miss Connor Barth except UCrawford"
* the LB corps may become the biggest strength of the Chiefs in 2009
* The OL is NOT as bad as you think it is... give it time, and you'll see improvement this season
I hope so, but the fact practice on Friday went that bad is not a good sign.

he wasn't mentioned
doesn’t mean he wasn’t leading…
it was a 30 second story, probably a lot more to it that we don’t know

Forgot to add.. If this offense struggles today, I'm not opposed to pulling Cassel
and putting Croyle in.
I want to know if the Baltimore game was a fluke or not regarding Brodie’s decent play against one of the better defenses in the League. And he got the snot knocked out of him a couple time..
Rowdy
+1
I have been an unapologetic Brodie hater, but he has shown some skills and some toughness this year that I was convinced didn’t exist. If Cassel can’t get some better touch on his passes (I’ve seen bad ones from short through long range) he needs to feel some pressure to improve.
I wouldn’t say definitively “pull Cassel” cuz I think its too early in the season still, but if he for some reason plays god-awful, then yea, throw Brodie in there for a while to see what he does. I expect Haley to do that in a heartbeat if he truly thinks Brodie would do better (ala Warner/Leinart), but I also think its too early for that decision to be made.
I hope we can sack Romo a few times
and keep him good and rattled. If their Offense is struggling as bad as ours is, we’ll be in this game.
Braccae illae virides cum subucula rosea et tunica Caledonia-quam elenganter concinnatur!
It's a old leadership tactic. Find out who is willing to step up and take the lead.
It also makes them all communicate with one another.
Yeah, let's just keep matriculatin' the ball down the field, boys! ...
This is the difference between a genius of a coach and someone pretending to be a good coach
When Parcells did this, I’m sure he was serious about it and his players knew he was serious.
With Haley, you get the sense that he has a notebook in his pocket with all these things Parcells did that motivated his players and is just going down the list.
Not very convincing.
or successful either
still the same old same old
The only measure of true success in the NFL is the Vince Lombardi trophy. Anything less is a rationalization.
