Kansas City tight end Tony Gonzalez made his fifth All-Pro team. Gonzalez ended his 12th season owning the triple crown of NFL career tight end records: receptions (916), yards receiving (10,940) and TDs (76).

"I wanted to show everybody that I could still play at a high level, that I could still be a leader," said Gonzalez, who certainly did that with 96 catches for 1,058 yards and 10 TDs for a 2-14 team.

Peter King picked Dallas Clark for his ALL PRO TEAM....

What a tool. And I’m really sick of hearing Antonio Gates referred to as the best tight end in the league.

Thats from the only think making King an insufferable jackass

One of the biggest tools in all of sports

All King knows is how to give Favre a good reach-around

by ArrowDread on Jan 9, 2009 2:36 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Gonzo is still the man. Fuck King!

Jason Whitten is next in line. Then maybe we can talk about Dallas Clark. As for Gates I think to be up in the top half, you need to show some durability.

Dominate for a decade

then you can start the comparisons with TG

+1

I guarantee if KC was a large media market, it wouldn’t even be a debate.

What kills me about Tomlinson.

He gets knicked and taps out in big games. Watch, he’ll do it again this weekend =] He’d sit out of the Superbowl from a sore throat.

Oh

I forgot, his tummy hurts.

They

should attatch a thermometer to his chin-strap. Oh ,he might get a scapie.

Positional pound for pound.

I think TG is a top ten Tight End Player of all time. IMO Gates shouldn’t be in the same sentence with TG. He has to do it alot longer to be compared to Gonzalez!

by GHOST OF DT on Jan 9, 2009 1:43 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

Agreed

Shit just look at his stats for this year. Top 10 among WR’s don’t even need to mention TE’s.

I hate

I hate watching the chiefs and every announcer just rag on the chiefs its horrible . The entire peter king vote doesnt shock me at all the guy is a tool. Plus the only time this year I seen LT tear it up was when he was holding a spoon in his chunky cambell soup commercials .That guy blows fuck LT the guy does his own stunts in commercials but he cant play on sunday I dont get it .

That guy blows fuck

Without punctuation, that’s a pretty awesome statement. Its kind of like “Do you want to make fuck?”

LT

I dont know if you guys travel to the games but I live in cali I go every year to san diego to see the Chiefs I swear all you see is gay cargo shorts there people that chant LT all game long its horrible . But Lt is good i wont take it away from him even thought he cant stay healthy in the playoffs ever and has no heart. My real thing about LT is how can you just pout and cry on the bench i seen some real leadership from Tebow last night If i was lt i would atleast help out instead of cry on the sidelines looking clueless get the crowd going wave a towl smack someone in the ass anything to show you are a leader and you want to contribute he blows and i dont see a super bowl in sight for him

I'm in L.A.

and I make it down to Qualcomm every year for our game down there (always a healthy turnout of Chiefs fans, even as miserable as our team has been). And yes, the Bromances that they all have with LT is absolutely disgusting. LT was like a whiny little toddler after the Pats destroyed them at home in the 14-2 year (and learned what Martyball looks like come playoff time). And the past few years, LT has been absent during the big games. I used to consider him a great player, but not anymore, he is a good player who was once behind a great O-Line. Great players do not miss big games with toe injuries when its win or go home time. Great players will play the game as a parapellegic in order to win a ring. and if the injury is that serious, you don’t suit up, and if you’re standing on the sidelines, you support your team in every way possible, not sit there with a serious look on your face (wondering where your next endorsement is coming from? thinking about watching you Campell’s thick and chunky spot on your Vizio LT?). He is done.

I think its more that the shelf life...

on RB’s is very short.

TG=unbelievable baller

How many ridiculus catches he have this year? Double teamed, triple teamed, with everyone knowing exactly where the ball would be going, Gonzo still balled outta control. I really hope hes back next year

by ArrowDread on Jan 9, 2009 2:40 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

What if they trade tg

arrowdread tg is a baller totally he is all we have I could not imagine a game with out that guy he does catch everything even with like 3 guys hanging all over him its almost a garentee catch. But you think they will let him go his value is about as sky high as it can get right now before when they wanted to trade him he wasnt worth nothing cuz he thigpen sucked we had no offense then thigpen showed up all of a sudden and tg goes to the pro bowl i say keep him but they might take what they can for him what you guys think?

by sexassassin on Jan 9, 2009 2:43 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

I want him to retire a Chief

And a Chief with a ring. Considering how good shape he is in, if we get Pioli and can squeeze another two years out of him, it is at least possible.

by Sudden on Jan 9, 2009 2:47 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

+1

That would suck to see him in another jersey. Especially if he is still playing at this level.

It could go either way

I can see him staying, but also could see him bouncing. I just hope that being here for so long, and with Carl gone, hed be done to stay. I can see it now… Chiefs get Pioli, some other FA’s, another nice draft, TG stays and balls and Chiefs pull a Dolphins-style 10 game turn around!

by ArrowDread on Jan 9, 2009 2:49 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

And maybe, just maybe

actually win a home playoff game?

by Sudden on Jan 9, 2009 2:52 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

playoff??? playoffs??

I wish we could just stop someone right now on D. I wish we could run a screen play and were talking playoffs hahahah. I wish we could actually play football in the 3rd qtr

by sexassassin on Jan 9, 2009 2:57 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

but also could see him bouncing
. Yeah. what Nightclub will he be working at ? Kidding.

by GHOST OF DT on Jan 9, 2009 2:52 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

How about

Lj and tg package deal . Chiefs get 1st round pick and a 3rd and 5th you trade them?
