Dominik eliminated?
This is once again peddling radio-bourne rumor, but 810's Soren Petro is stating that a source that he trusts has told him that the Chiefs have told Mark Dominik he will not be the new GM.

Petro says that Dominik has told his source that he was contacted by the Chiefs(interviewed most likely) and then contacted again to let him know that he would not be the new GM. From my listening experience, 810 has refrained from making any claims of knowledge previously - as we all know 610 has already said quite a bit.
As Petro aptly stated, this could mean two things:
1. They have simply decided that based upon any number of interview or experience factors that they didn't want to move forward with him
2. They think they have their guy - and that's obviously not Dominik
I'll admit this is just more speculation in a sea of the same.

Thanks for the heads
Personally I was pretty underwhelmed with his resume so this isn’t a big loss IMO.

Also underwhelmed
I mean, as a Mizzou fan I couldn’t stand to have a KU guy running the Chiefs.
(Yes, I know what blog I’m on, and yes, I’m joking – best candidate available FTW)

I think it was pretty tactful for them to contact him to say no
you don’t hear much of that at all in any business community.
In other news 710 says they don’t have a clue what is going on!
We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.

I lean toward
believing this one than most others. We’ll know it fact when 1010 reports it : )

2020 says that Marty will be back
…or was that Mad Dog 2020?
Bill Parcell’s: "You are what your record says you are."
Thigpen WILL NOT be the Chiefs starting QB next year IMO. He can compete for the job and should be 2nd or 3rd string.

Mike Lombardi of the National Football Post has heard this as well
I hear some of the candidates for the KC front office position are being told today they are no longer candidates — either a sign that Scott Pioli is coming or they are no longer in the mix.
So maybe it has some validity.

I agree oldchiefsfan.
Mike Lombardi does have credibility in NFL circles and this bit of information says quite a lot. I’ve got to believe that Mr. Hunt has the situation under control and is just doing what’s right. He’s not leading on these other GM candidates…he’s letting them focus their time elsewhere. Common sense says we have our new GM in place and Mr. Hunt is just waiting for the most opportune time to make an announcement.
Monday or Tuesday works for me.
