I have enjoyed reading all the posts here lately, just another way to pass the time between seasons. But looking back on everything that has transpired this year and before, I came to one realization. My uncle, whom still resides in the great Kansas City, once told me this back in the seventies about the Chiefs: Everything travels in a circle; when things are seemingly going good, they will eventually turn for the worse for a while and eventually return to good.
I have always remembered that and can pretty much attribute that to all the goings on in Life. With that said, this season had to happen for the Chiefs organization to get better. No doubt about it. With Carl just yesterday saying he's not done, I immediately sat back and said to myself, he would have never left if not forced out. Argue it or not, CP was and has admitted he's not finished with this League in his opinion.
I hate we had to lose Allen, the LJ happenings, the bad season and all the rest, but these had to happen. Today begins a new era in Chiefs history and I believe it will be one we will be very happy with and proud to be Chief fans for. Yesterday cannot happen any longer and we have a bright future ahead of us.
That being said, lets sit back and enjoy the happenings as they come our way and hope for the best in our search(s), free agency and the draft. No longer should the Chiefs be the 6th man that sits down for dinner and the waiter says, "I'm sorry we only had steak for 5, but I do have some spam in a can if your still hungry?"
09 is our time and let's be Loud and Proud!
