Leave town. Tonight. Right now. And when you’re gone… stay gone. You’ve lost your Kansas City privileges.
Proud to be a part of the Conference of Champions and their complete bowl season domination.

Does anyone know of a stream online that catches the press conference?

Still searching for streaming
But it’ll be covered on the 6:00 news on KCTV5.

The KC Star Said They Have A Live Video Feed
No idea if it’s working.

Apparently It Isn't
The Star’s site says that the Chiefs denied them live audio/video coverage. It’s getting downright Patriotic in Kansas City these days with all the secrecy. :)

I was wondering
With Carl leaving if that would lessen some of the media restrictions. Guess not.

Ha
And I just got the “Patriotic” part of that…
by Joel Thorman on Jan 6, 2009 3:50 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
And
I’m hoping it gets even more Patriotic in the next few days. :)
And even if we get Pioli, I wouldn’t count on the media restrictions getting lightened. If how the Patriots’ media people work is any indication it may get even tougher to get accurate info since the Pats love to give out fake injury updates and play shady with player news. Before he got his knee wrecked Tom Brady showed up on injury reports for the last nine years with “shoulder”, even though he had no apparent injury.

Yep
And then he was taken off like the week before the Super Bowl I thought. Yeah, they do get tricky.

I Suspect Pioli Will Be Just As Tight-Lipped
In fact, I wonder if the secrecy involving his hiring might not be an intentional gambit on Hunt’s part to attract Pioli here, and if maybe the leaks springing out of Cleveland about Mangini weren’t even more of a downside for Pioli than the hiring of Mangini? Hunt’s got as much insight into what kind of environment Pioli wants to work in as anyone, considering his friendship with Jonathan Kraft…and if you really want someone badly you’re going to tailor your sales pitch to make it the most attractive to that person.
Basically, I wonder if a large part of the Pioli’s attraction to KC might be that Clark Hunt and his staff can keep their mouths shut while Randy Lerner and his staff can’t :)

Isn't it funny
How stuff that isn’t related to publicly embarrassing a player to sign a contract isn’t leaked.

That's Not A Coincidence :)
Allthough to the Pats’ credit, I don’t seem to recall them being all that shady with leaking negative details about people to the press…at least not like Peterson did. I could be wrong, though, since I don’t follow the Pats’ offseason like I do the Chiefs. Maybe they do and they’re just sneakier about it than Peterson was.

+1
The Patriots operate the same way. They are being pretty tight lipped about Brady. The Cassel thing is all speculation. Mr. Hunt is setting this thing up to be ran the same way and it shows in his GM search.
Indecision is the key to flexibility

If You Mean Asking Peterson Uncomfortable Questions
I imagine that the Chiefs will tightly control the Q&A with reporters to avoid Peterson being embarassed for his going-away party. Letting Peterson get grilled isn’t going to score them any points with Pioli or any other GM candidate they might want to hire, nor does it appear to be something Hunt would want anyway just on principle.

I’m in Alaska and I’m wanting to see anything about the Chiefs weather it’s watching the inital boot of Carl or the hiring of a new King of K.C. I’m sick of hearing nothing but the Seahawks or (strangely enough) the Dolphins…It’s time to get back to K.C.
There's no hope with dope...

reason for hope?

No news is good news
In contrast to the leak-fest by Lake Erie, no one really knows what’s going on in Kansas City.
And that’s a good thing.
Owner Clark Hunt has kept his plans under very tight wraps, with not much information being leaked to the press about the search for a GM, who’ll then decide whether the team will embark on a search for a new head coach.
The mere fact Hunt has maintained a high degree of secrecy as to his plans makes a promising opportunity even more attractive.
The Chiefs have a fairly solid nucleus of young players, plenty of cap room, low expectations, two declining division rivals and a third on which the window could be closing.
So while Chiefs fans might be feeling frustrated about the low flow of information, take heart. The foundation quietly is being laid for a return to competitiveness.
I know theres not much news but is anyone else reading these little snippets everywhere If thats what the experts are saying I will wait patiently
