The Eagles= Key to KC's success!
Deshaun Jackson has broken out this year as a legitimate target for Donovan McNabb but even he admits that there is too much pressure on him to produce. The Eagles see him as a decent #1 but a very good #2. Let's say the Eagles want to get crazy and trade down for that #1 receiver. Who is the best option to trade down to? That's right Arrowhead nation, us. There is no way in hell the Seahawks let Crabtree go and they wont trade down because it's very evident WR is one of their areas of need. Does anyone else see it as a legitimate opportunity to get two first rounders? Or is that out of reason?
Lets say we acquire the Eagle's 21st and 28th picks. I really believe Lauranitus or Maualuga will fall that far, the we can scoop up Tyson Jackson out of LSU wit the second first rounder. Then with our second rounder draft Max Unger the center outta Oregon. Before you know it the Chiefs have filled a bunch of needs on the first day of the draft. In round three does anyone else like the WR out of BYU as a starter across Dwayne Bowe?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

No BYU!!!
Sorry… they stick it to the college team I love every time we play them… except for basketball…
Lets do it...
I doubt Maualuga falls that far but I’d be fine taking Duke Robinson and Alex mack with 2 of our first 3 picks.
Agreed
No way Maualuga falls that far but I still think Lauranitus does. He’s projected at the latter picks in the first round. If anything we could cough up a third and trade down to pick up Maualuga, I really hope he ends up on the chiefs he reminds me of Ray Lewis
Good idea
I’d pull the trigger on that trade. If McNabb had Crabtree, they’d be dangerous. We saw what he did with T.O. for one year and look how far they came this year just w/ DeSean.

My sentiments exactly
Hopefully Andy Reid remembers the glory days and pulls the trigger on this one. after being crushed by Michael Crabtree’s NFL counterpart (Larry Fitzgerald) I think Crabtree’s looking pretty attractive right now.
Is big red coaching next year?
No way
There’s no way that Philly would make that trade for Crabtree. Plus the Seahawks would settle for OT or even Maclin.
I'm not pooping on your idea but
according to the point scale, #3 is worth 2200 points and #21 is worth 800 and #28 is 660. We would be shorting ourselves 740 points. I don’t know if this could happen.

We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.
Ok already, if you don't agree with what I am saying, just don't email my mom again. She beat the crap out of me with my keyboard!

oh wow that's cool I never knew there was a point system for this
maybe a second and fourth could be included in the trade?? I really hope some team offers up the kings ransom for Crabtree. His combine will unveil just how distinct the possibility of us taking him is
Awesome
Thanks Lanier. I can even use this for Madden

I remember it because either Chris, Primetime or UCrawford pulled it out last year

To be fair
Apparently most people think this is outdated because the money at the top handful of picks is so much.
I’ve heard that there is a different, updated version of a point value chart floating around.

But, until its is adopted by the League
which I am sure the current one is, it is just speculation?

If we were to get the 21st and 28th pick
my choice would be a LB (Lauranitis/Cushing etc) and another lineman (Robinson or Loadholt).
Let's call him...Trogdor the Burninator!
I have reservations about Loadholt
I have seen more Barry Richardson in him than a Brandon Albert or Michael Oher type player at this stage.

Just reaching...
if we do end up trading down and acquiring more picks and also get rid of LJ, with one of the two 1st rounders would Beenie Wells be out of the question. I mean two young RBs ( Charles and Wells) two young WRs maybe three (Bowe, Bradley and Franklin) and a young qb either Thigpen or another qb drafted later Pat White or someone else. I mean since we’ll have additional picks with trading down and getting rid or LJ would that be too far fetched.
When deep space exploration ramps up, it'll be the corporations that name everything, the IBM Stellar Sphere, the Microsoft Galaxy, Planet Starbucks.
I'd be fine with 9-7 or 10-6 and competiting for the divsion title
In that
situation i would rather use our two first round picks on OL and LB or DE

Both
first rounders this year is not likely, I don’t think its unreasonable to get first and second rounder this year along with maybe 2nd and 3rd next year, a loaded board will be huge next year, ton of QB talent in 2010

that would be great but...
i think the Eagles would be just as happy to trade up to 10-15 or whatever and take maclin. im a KU grad but i have to admit he is special(and not short bus special like the other fizzou players). dont get me wrong if philly calls even remotely sniffing at the idea of trading up i take it because we still need alot of players but they dont need to get Crabtree when they can get maclin for MUCH less
Even Better
Is to trade with the Giants, they need a stud WR even more since Plaxico is gone. We draft Crabtree, that leaves 1 Maclin on the board, if neither of them is able to trade up and get him then we call and discuss options. At that point we have 2 teams bargaining against eachother, negotiation 101 baby.
