Here Comes the Hotstepper

As we all know, this beloved organization of ours, the Kansas City Chiefs, have not won a playoff game since 1994. Just to put that in perspective here is the Billboard top 10 for 1994:

1. Here Comes the Hotstepper - Kamoze, Ini

2. Baby, I Love Your Way - Frampton, Peter

3. Can We Talk? - Babyface [1]

4. The Sign - Berggren, Jonas "Jo

5. Bump N' Grind - Kelly, R.

6. Now and Forever - Marx, Richard

7. Regulate - Griffin, Warren

8. MMM, MMM, MMM, MMM - Roberts, Brad

9. If You Go - Secada, Jon

10. Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia) - Hancock, Herbie

Wow, we need a playoff win. I'd be happy enough with 6 regular season wins next season, but we need a plan in place to win a playoff game asap.

Nice.

I’m sure we’ll be singing #2 on your list to Pioli after next season. LOL!

Whoever said, 'It's not whether you win or lose that counts,' probably lost.

The Day Herm Edwards didn't get his team ready to beat the Raiders at Arrowhead is the day he kissed his job goodbye.

I just noticed they all are

they all are listed by songwriter…
By the way, is this like a “on this date” top 10? It made me look up the billboard 100 for ‘94 and my lady and I thank you! it’s been fun looking at all the songs (and now we have a whole new download list : ) from when I was in 4th grade (she was in 5th).

I got the list from

a website selling the CD of these 10 tracks. I don’t know that their actually in order or whatever. Just thought it was funny. Don’t want to see the list for our last Super Bowl win, 1970….. Maybe I do…..

1. Venus – VanLeeuwen, Robby

2. Mama Told Me (Not to Come) – Newman, Randy

3. I Think I Love You – Romeo, Tony

4. Tears of a Clown – Cosby, Henry

5. The Rapper – Ierace, Dominic

6. I Want You Back – Gordy, Berry Jr.

7. Spirit in the Sky – Greenbaum, Norman

8. Vehicle – Peterik, Jim

9. War – Strong, Barrett

10. Green-Eyed Lady – Corbetta, Jerry

Oh boy……This is getting a little ridiculous…..These songs were burning up pop radio, not classic radio the last time the Chiefs won a Super Bowl….. My dad was in high school for God’s sake. Wow.

1970's

list is totally killing the 1990’s list. 1970’s was a hit factory baby.
