Anquan Boldin
Ok I know that a WR isnt one of our most pressing needs, and most likely I dont see us running after any too hard in FA. But i thought this was kinda interesting to see. I know he asked for a trade request earlier in the year....and still might want one after this year as crazy as that sounds.
What does any think we have of actually landing Boldin, or the likely hood we actually try to get him.

Im happy
with our WR tandem at this point. I think free agent wise, we should look for a LB to fill that void . Also Boldin is said to have issues in the locker-room and we don’t need that.

I like Boldin
But we have much more pressing needs. The WR is one of the lowest impact positions (though Larry Fitz and the Cards might disagree) on the field. Fix the line so the QB has time to throw and we can devalue the importance of having an all-star at WR.

Boldin is not bad but...
I rather to pick crabtree in draft instead of getting Boldin and focus on Free Agents for Defensive like Suggs, Lewis, Scott, Haynesworth… Because I think Defensive do win more super bowls than offensive…

After he left the field
and didn’t even celebrate the freaking NFC Championship with his teammates – I say he’s evolving into a primadonna. A big money deal is only gonna make him worse.

yeah
you see him yelling at the O-coordinator on the sidelines like he wanted to fight? We don’t need that crap here, although if Cowher were our coach he would squash him quick. I think if Crabtree is the BPA at out time we should pick him up. Other positions can always be addressed in the other rounds and through FA. I don’t think using the #3 pick to fill holes is the best Idea. BPA gets picked up period in the first round. can you imagine Crabtree, Bowe, Gonzalez…..we do need a guy to stretch the field.

For
and Against.
So often great receivers come from one team to another and don’t do well. The only ones that come to mind that seem to transition from team to team are Moss and Owens, keep in mind they transition well in a put up numbers sense, not in a helping their team win a championship sense.
I think Boldin could be a good pickup because he has worked with so many QB’s and diff offenses in the Cardinals revolving door organization that I believe he would be an exception to the rule.
I don’t think its worth it, no way they are letting him go for anything lower than a 2nd rnd pick, Chiefs have more pressing needs in a deep draft class.
I could see a 4th, 5th or 6th this year with maybe a 2nd next year, his contract is definitely affordable at $4mill a year.

Not Anymore
I liked Anquan, but after yesterday I want no part of him. Are you kidding me. His team is going to the superbowl and he is pouting like spoiled TO. We don’t need it.

That was the moment
he tried to put the “I” in team.
We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.
Ok already, if you don't agree with what I am saying, just don't email my mom again. She beat the crap out of me with my keyboard!

I think he is one of the best wide receivers
but after yesterday’s yelling at the offensive coordinator I don’t think we should get him

In Boldin's defense.....
He wanted a trade at the beginning of the season and instead of making a big scene and holding out, he played all year (even comming back from an injury that would have put most WRs on the shelf) without incident. He handled what could have been an ugly contract dispute like a professional and fulfilled his obligation to his team. It’s like putting in your 2 weeks notice at a job you hate working with people you can’t stand. What else can you ask for? I call that being a great team player, he put aside his personal issues and handled his business.
Plus regardless of the trip to the SB, Arizona’s front office is still a mess. I know a guy who played for them and he told me they had to pay rent for their lockers and pay for thier own warmups, t-shirts, hats etc. SB trip or not, it still is an organization that a lot of players don’t want to play for.

Still
There’s a time and place for that kind of complaining, and in the middle of the NFC Championship game with the outcome on the line is most definitely not it. That’s what the offseason’s for…so forget that guy.
Herm Edwards will not be the Chiefs' head coach next season.

I agree he's a prima donna
But let’s not forget, Pioli took a gamble on Randy Moss and got him to buy into the system, although I’m sure having Belichick and an existing winner had a lot to do with that.

Moss Kept His Shit Together In The Big Moments, Though
You didn’t see him screaming at his offensive coordinator while the game was on the line in the playoffs and while the OC was trying to call in plays. That’s a complete lack of priorities.

I seem to recall him
Screaming at Culpepper a lot during games.

If anything
Anquan was yelling at his OC to put him in. I seriously thought he was dead during the jets game but he came back 2 weeks later. He’s the toughest WR ive ever seen, and I would love to have him on the Chiefs. He wants to win, but sometimes people lose their cool. Ive never seen him do this before so I think its a little early to call him a locker room cancer when appearently all his teaammates love him. Him and Bowe would be sick

That would be sick
but id like to see Crabtree of Boldin

Moss did completely shut down on his team and refused to give any effort when he decided that he wanted to leave (Raiders), Boldin played all year despite his contractual and personal issues. Let’s not forget that Boldin was the LONE bright spot on that team for about two years, made the Pro Bowl as a rookie and set a single game record for most yardarge by a rookie in his first start. He put up MONSTER numbers on a team that was in the sub-basement of the NFL all without complaint. He wants the ball, you show me a Pro-Bowl caliber WR that isn’t selfish when it comes to getting the rock and I’ll show you footage of an entire season that Brodie started for us without a season ending injury or a growth hormone that Bill Romanowski hasn’t injected into his eyelids. We’ve tried this thing with low key non-confrontational players (LJ is of course excluded in that statement ;) and look what it’s gotten us. Maybe it’s time to get a player who gets pissed off when he doesn’t get a chance to contribute and makes the most of the situation when the spotlight is on him (Gonzo is excluded from that statement). Boldin hasn’t cost his ANY games by refusing to contribute and he was one of the few players that I’ve seen who didn’t hold out when he was upset with his contract situation (and he did get the dirty end of the stick in comparision to Fitzgerald’s contract). He played balls out and hungry all year and seems like a tough, firey and CONSISTANT WR. I think he would thrive in an enviornment with SUPPORTIVE fans and STABLE management. Niether one of those traits can be attributed to Arizona.

Boldin!!!
The question you have to ask is would Pioli give up a 2nd round pick to get him??

Boldin has Stage I team cancer
Team cancers come in different stages:
Stage I team cancer : whining about getting the ball more, contract disputes, etc
Stage II cancer: Victimless crimes, things that should have finished in college: Ricky Williams, Matt Jones, Minnesota Vikings
Stage III: Liquor + Breaking Laws + Spitting: Chis Henry, Larry Johnson
Stage IV: Pure Thuggery: Pacman and Plaxico
The key here is that while still a cancer, Stage I is still curable. I’ll take him!

There are two kinds of players in the NFL
Overpaid and Underpaid. Boldin is clearly underpaid for his production and after seeing Fitzgerald’s extension he was understandably upset. Not sure what he was doing yelling at Haley, but he is a tough football player that I would definitely take a chance on. I’m with you Paxi.

id love to have Boldin
but not at the expense of picks. If we are going to give up picks for a late 20’s WR why not use our number 3 on Crabtree instead?

arizona bundle.............
HC Haley and WR Boldin ……… I would take it….. Boldin isn’t happy in AZ

Oh yeah...
…the same two guys that were fighting with each other, lets get them both, if it doesn’t pan out we could sell the footage to the MMA.
I’m Ok with either one of the two as long as its not Boldin.
just keep matriculating the ball down the field !
