Chiefs' new HC - Gruden?

What does Arrowhead Pride think about this? Jon Gruden is a tough-minded individual and coach, and he brings Super Bowl experience to whichever team that hires him. He has a no-nonsense attitude and isn't afraid to get in a player's face. He has produced several playoff seasons with Tampa Bay and his defenses consistently rank in the top ten. Gruden loves to test different quarterbacks and isn't afraid to pick up an old veteran.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

No thank you....

I see him going to the Jets with Romeo as DC….

Just shooting from the hip there but…

Best thing about that is it would free up Rex for us perhaps…

@ QB because that’s been our M.O. in KC for too long. We need someone we can invest in for the next 10 seasons not just next. That was some of our knocks on Peterson was that he didn’t build teams to last (though they rarely with the NFL & free agency). I don’t want another retread, I want the future. Pioli and the Pats understood this, thats why they developed their QB’s from the draft. You can ever say this for Gruden?

Chris Simms

Gruden did try out a youthful, drafted quarter a few years ago – Chris Simms, but he failed to deliver.

not a fan

of Gruden

I think most of his playoff wind were due to his assistants personally.

i dunno

I’m not sure Gruden would do any better here than Herm. if we fire herm, which I expect, we better go after someone special, not just good.
