Yeah
I’m sure the millions he’s making and total control of football operations is making him smile. He should be happy. Now he just has to fire Herm and the rest of KC will smile like that too!
Happy to have him
No matter who the coach is – even though I’m praying to every deity out there that it isn’t Herm.

Funny
That’s what I looked like all day the other day after I found out he was hired.

Maybe he's laughing at Hunt's opening joke that had such great delivery
Relax everyone. Herm’s Gone. The GM has certain procedures he must follow so as to not come off as a tyrant. How would it look if he fired Herm without even talking to him? Michael Smith just reported that crap to get more air time around the country.
I love how clark totally bombed on that joke.
all you could here was cricketts in the back round

Clark was stiff
He could use a public speaking coach. It was a well thought out and written speech, but he’s no Jerry Jones — thank god.
He hit the other one, later
the joke about how Pioli was 40 days younger than he was.

Suffice it to say
It did bomb.

Exactly
The look on his face says, “You have no idea what I’m gonna do to your team”

Sounds
like Herms staying.. Pioli seems to have faith in him. I Hope he can bring more out of Herm on game-day.
Where in the world do you get the feeling Herm will
be staying..No one knows what is going to happen either way..If anything you would have gotten the faint feeling that Herm was gone from listening to the press conference…Notice how Herm wasn’t even their or in the building at the time, and how many of his assisstants are interviewing for jobs..Pioli is not going to fire Herm right away because he wants to conduct and do plenty of due diligence on him..They will meet and Pioli will figure out if he wants to keep him around..
As of this point we don’t know either way..But if anything at all, it sounds a bit as if Herm will be gone if you read between the lines..This guy means business..Only an idiot would fire the head coach without talking with him one on one

Not an idiot. Mean spirited and hateful, yes…like the King did with Gun.
Bill Parcell’s: "You are what your record says you are."
Thigpen WILL NOT be the Chiefs starting QB next year IMO. He can compete for the job and should be 2nd or 3rd string.
Which is ...
Which means it’s leaning about 49.9% more toward retaining Herm than most of the folks around here would hope.
Herm Edwards is Clark Hunt's guy. Herm and Carl forced Clark to choose between their differing visions on how to rebuild the Chiefs, and we all see who got their walking papers. Herm's going to be walking the sidelines at Arrowhead in 2009, and possibly even beyond, no matter who the new General Manager is.
Herm cant stay
All the other bottom dwellars have fired their coaches. Im hoping next week Herm and the entire staff are packing their crap.. except maybe Chan.
