Trade down to 8-12 and get him maybe?

by SayHeyWerd on Jan 14, 2009 7:21 PM CST reply actions

Sanchez is our man...

Can we get him with out second round pick? He’s the only QB out there that I would want with #3.

Proud to be a part of the Conference of Champions and their complete bowl season domination.

My dream draft scenario would be getting the best player available at #3 (LB,DE,OT) and then take Sanchez in the second. I agree that he probably shouldn’t be a first rounder, but I have a gut feeling that he won’t make it out of the first.

Ten sacks in a season! For crying out loud that's what I used to average per game using DT in Techmo Bowl!

We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.

He's Had Injury Problems Too

Not on a par with Croyle’s but fairly serious.

Not saying that he’s not worth a pick, but not a first round selection. I think he’ll be available in the 2nd or even 3rd round.

Herm Edwards will not be the Chiefs' head coach next season.

I would definitely take him early second.

In fact, I’d love to simply trade down for our first spot or trade up from our second to move up and take him.

He is a tremendous QB, right behind Bradford IMO. He looked absolutely fantastic against Penn State; and while the Big 10/11 was absolutely terrible this year, Penn State still had a good D.

I don’t want him at #3, but would love to get him at some point in the Draft.

He’s the best QB in the Draft, easy.

He would definately be a good 2nd pick

He made every throw in that bowl game. Seems to be a good on the field leader. The only knocks are injuries and experience.

+1.

And, honestly, experience doesn’t mean too much to me. I mean, Obviously it’s important, but sometimes they dont play early just because there are more experienced people in front of them.

More than one year as a starter would be helpful but...

Cassell was never a starter. But he wasn’t a first day pick either.

Neither Was Brady

Pioli’s had some success finding good QBs later in the draft. I think he can find a winner out of the current QB crop.

It’s kind of nice not having a GM who can’t judge QB talent running your draft any more.

I like him a lot

And I think he’ll be on the board there in round two.

Mark Sanchez = Akili Smith

Bradford proved to the nation how smart he really is, Sanchez on the other hand is the total opposite.

Mark Sanchez is ONE year Wonder nothing else, I’d stay away from him like he had ALL the STD’s. (Herpes, Gonorrhea, Genital Warts the whole kit and caboodle)

I wouldn’t put the condom on until the 6th round.

Opinions are like A--holes, everyones got one.

You're kidding right?

Sanchez has only started one year because he had other NFL QB’s ahead of him. Have you watched him this year or are you like the large majority of the nation that ignores and discredits Pac10 ball? This guy is a stud and is doing it against legit defenses. Be it everyday against the nations top D in practice or weekly against the nation’s strongest conference.

he was behind an NFL QB

who is currently holding a clipboard and watching Kurt Warner throw TD passes…

Heh

No, but he’s also holding a clipboard on a team that desperately needs a QB.

I agree with aPC…Sanchez is too much of a one year wonder for me to want the Chiefs to grab him with that top pick. 2nd round I’d be fine with on him, but that top pick needs to be as much of a guaranteed hit as you can get, and that’s not Sanchez.

Herm Edwards will not be the Chiefs' head coach next season.

Am I Kidding? About the STD part, but not on Sanchez being a risky pick....

The kid should of went back to SC. Next year he would become a solid pick for any NFL team with a little more seasoning under center. Sanchez then would be in a position to show the nation that he can lead a major program for two years at a high level. Right now, he looks to me like he just had one good year.

Senior QB’s who have two years starters experience have a higher success rate in the NFL than, a one year Junior.

Wouldn’t even consider drafting him until the 4th round.

Draft
  1. OL / LB / Crabtree
  2. Sanchez
  3. C- Alex Mack or Max Unger
FA- Bart Scott and or Suggs

I've seen Mack...

going as high as late in the 1st round.
