Pioli could fire Edwards in KC as early as Wednesday

As news of Pioli's hiring reached Edwards, he told his assistants they were free to leave for the rest of the afternoon but were expected back in the office this morning.

At least two coaches, who did not wish to be identified, said they expected Edwards and the staff to be fired as soon as today.

It Won't Happen Today I Don't Think

They’ll wait a day, at least after the Chiefs have officially announced Pioli’s hiring and done the first press conference. They aren’t going to mix a firing with a hiring announcement like that. Tomorrow or Friday would be a better bet.

Herm Edwards will not be the Chiefs' head coach next season.

as much as it sucks to say this

I have a feeling Pioli is going to let Herm stay for another year. I am basing this off the fact that there would have been some news by now and herm would probably have been told already. If they were going to make the change they would have wanted it done alerady so they could start looking elsewhere. Like I said its hard to say but thats just my gut on the sitution right now.

My gut is that their waiting to announce Pioli officially

then it’ll look like Pioli decided Herm is gone. That way the Clark “saves face”.

Thigpen WILL NOT be the Chiefs starting QB next year IMO. He can compete for the job and should be 2nd or 3rd string.

I kinda wonder if there is some behind the scean talks going on with Shanny , or Marty.
I think either one would be better then another what if year full of lame excuses. If one of those two are hired, I dont think they would be spittin excuses after 3 years. Remember the difference between Miami this year, and a year ago. Right people at the right time. I just dont think he is the man with the plan. Guess we will find out soon , just probably not soon enough for me.
