Around SBN: Newcastle Battle Injury Woes Ahead of Tottenham

Steve Spagnuolo

I am listening to ESPN Radio and on Tirico and Van Pelt. During the update they talked about how we hired Pioli which is bad for Herm Edwards. They went on to say that the Pariots have promoted someone in their front office to Pioli's position. They then stated that reports out of New York are that the Chiefs are after Steve Spagnuolo.

I don't know if this is true but I can't see ESPN Radio Reporting this unless it's a serious rumor. I'd take Spags, would you?

Chan Gailey

Maybe this mean Chan Gailey stays on as OC which would be good if you ask me.

Herm Edwards - the new Art Shell.

From ESPN:

Pioli was seen packing up his office Tuesday afternoon, a Patriots source said.

The decision to hire Pioli likely means Herman Edwards will not be back as Chiefs head coach next season. Among the top candidates to succeed Edwards is New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.

Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio will replace Pioli as vice president of player personnel, league sources told ESPN.

Pioli, 43, has been with the Patriots for nine years.

Pioli should find a warm welcome in Kansas City. At the last Chiefs home game, shortly after the embattled Carl Peterson resigned after 20 years as president, general manager and CEO, several signs were spotted in the crowd proclaiming, “We want Pioli.”

I would be happy

with Spagnuolo too. I think he would be a great addition to our coaching staff. I also wouldn’t mind keeping Gailey on as OC because he showed that he could adapt and mold an offense around anyone. Thigpen excelled in Gailey’s spread offense and I don’t think it would even be a bad thing if Thigpen was given a shot at the starting job next year. After a QB competition with either a seasoned veteran or rookie draft choice, of course.

Don't bet on it.

I wouldn’t be suprised if Pioli wants to start his own legacey, find his own QB, and show the world he is a genius away from Belicheck.

Negative Ghostrider

As a season ticket holder for 18 long years I have to say enough is enough. Pioli has got to clean house on the entire staff. I find it hard to believe that he would keep anyone from Herms staff either good or bad. Arrowhead and the Chiefs are a cancer filled organization with bad scouting to bad coaching.

I find it hard to beleive Clark Hunt would take the time to get the top candidate in the NFL to let things continue as they have for so long. CLEAN HOUSE all the way down to the ticket takers. Go get a new head coach, new coaching staff, and new scouting department and then kick some ass.

GO CHIEFS GO, 65 TOSS POWER TRAP!!!!!!!!

Oh, snap!

I almost forgot about that. That is huge but I wondered if Chan’s hands were tied by the conservative ropes of the late Herm Edwards’?

Maybe…maybe not. Like with the tootsie-roll pops, “The world may never know.”
