ESPN Reports Pioli To Join Chiefs' Front Office
The wait is apparently over, according to the Worldwide Leader in Sports, and the Chiefs appear to have their man:
New England Patriots vice president of player personnel Scott Pioli has agreed to become head of football operations for the Kansas City Chiefs, two NFL sources confirmed to ESPN's Michael Smith.
It's not fully confirmed yet, but Smith's about as money as it gets for football reporting on ESPN, so this is as good a sign as any that our interminable wait for a new GM to replace the departed and currently unlamented Carl Peterson is over.
Hopefully it's not another case of GM blue balls for frustrated Chiefs fans.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

that explains the white smoke at Arrowhead
I’m glad its not a construction accident
The only measure of true success in the NFL is the Vince Lombardi trophy. Anything less is a rationalization.
Banish the thought of blue balls
Happy thoughts, happy thoughts…

Indeed
Actually, in order to celebrate…
Charles in Charge

Herm Edwards will not be the Chiefs' head coach next season.
Nicole Eggert
She was on “Charles In Charge” with Scott Baio…everytime I use that phrase I post a picture of Nicole. Skimpily attired most of the time. :)

UC...should I post the recent picture of her? ;)
Bill Parcell’s: "You are what your record says you are."
Thigpen WILL NOT be the Chiefs starting QB next year IMO. He can compete for the job and should be 2nd or 3rd string.
you can send it to me if you dont!
We need a future defensive leader, his name is James Laurinaitis and he can be selected in round 1 of the upcoming Draft.
"But what do I know, I’m like an empty room with a large ECHO"
Now the question is...
how long until Pioli gives herm the boot, and is Shanahan next?
Tomorrow Morning
Hopefully…then the Chiefs can immediately commence with chasing down new HC candidates. The season’s already on, after all.
Herm Edwards will not be the Chiefs' head coach next season.
Correction
The offseason’s already on, after all…if we get the new HC and staff in place before the Super Bowl we’ll be in great shape to hit the free agent market at the opening bell. :)
Herm Edwards will not be the Chiefs' head coach next season.
much agreed
No way can Pioli keep Herm around. He’s been working with football’s best coach, he’s not about to work with it’s worst. I just hope it’s quick and painless.
now the coaches
we need to get some real coaches in here. i’m tired of the re-treads and want-a-bees.

Good news on 810 on my way home
Soren Petro was speaking about the rumblings that have been going on about the future of the coaching staff… His take was that people would be “shocked if Herm was still there in 72 hours.”
The Day Herm Edwards didn't get his team ready to beat the Raiders at Arrowhead is the day he kissed his job goodbye.
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehn GOODBYYYEE!
