Jimmy Johnson should know REAL bad teams
Cowboys were 1-15 his first year with Dallas. Kind of interesting, Jimmy Johnson traded Dallas’s best player (Hershell Walker) for a bunch of draft picks that ended up taking them to several super bowls…
It may be the last time all year we see .500
But I’m ready to get it going and see how these young guys do!
Technically...
we’re .000. I certainly hope that’s not something we see all year.

I jumped in on it...
Parlay;
Chiefs to cover
Jets, Cowboys, Bucs, Colts straight up
$10 to win $119.76

Pat Surtain with the strip!
That’s veteran leadership.
in three words.
I accidentally hit enter. Dang contraptions.

He's limping badly.
My first round pick in a $100 dollar buy-in league.

As much as I never want to see an injury
That was huuuuge for the Chiefs. Do I smell a super bowl hangover?
Yep
My buddies asked the same question.
by Joel Thorman on Sep 7, 2008 12:25 PM CDT up reply actions
i think...
that might be the first time i’ve seen brodie take the hit while stepping up and throwing..
This is definately the best senario we could hope for.

Pets
dog woke me up at 3AM puking for about two hours. such is what happens.

Only problem with a safety is
everyone sticks their arms above their heads and you smell BO
I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.
Look at our run defense
came to play today, baby!

5-11?
I understand that Brady isn’t playing, but this still doesn’t look like a 5-11 team, not so far atleast.
The problem is Cassell
knows the offense. Nice stop on that screen.

Page
just got steamrolled. That’s embarrassing.
by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 12:42 PM CDT reply actions
fantasy owners
, i would imagine, hate belichick. where’s maroney? not that it would matter who’s running on us at this point…
No Page wasnt bad open field tackle isnt bad. Hope he is ok.
by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 12:46 PM CDT reply actions
Okay, this is where the cover 2 should be effective.
We should be able to at least not get anyone behind us. Fear the lob.
by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 12:46 PM CDT reply actions
Getting killed by a backup is kind of embarrassing.
Sigh. Stupid hope.
by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 12:49 PM CDT reply actions
matt cassel
leads the patriots on a 98 yard drive! who expected that would be the scenario of the first scoring drive of this game?
Yeah feel you on the stupid hope Matt
by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 12:50 PM CDT reply actions
no kidding
either he’s being covered really well, or we’re just missing out. not a single pass thrown his direction
by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 12:55 PM CDT up reply actions
Brodie is scared of throwing it downfield, this is sad.
by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 12:55 PM CDT reply actions
Brodie gave it to the RB 3 times on the last drive.
He is not scared of throwing it downfield. Or, you can’t make that assessment. If he is told to throw a deep pattern, he will.
Banny being Banny.
gotta look on the bright side
we’re only down seven, and we’re doing a kick ass job of punting! (mild sarcasm)
Yeah
We’re doing really well thus far. Defense looks sharp. The mistakes so far have bee acceptable.
by Joel Thorman on Sep 7, 2008 12:57 PM CDT up reply actions
Our D is gonna need a stretcher after this.
by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 12:58 PM CDT reply actions
it seems like
it doesn’t matter who’s running on us right now; our d-line is just caving on every run
maybe it's just me
but i think the patriots would love to get through this game without having to re-insert brady. can’t say the same for his fantasy owners though….
Cassell had all the time in the world
Our D-Line is getting absolutely dominated and we are getting no pressure on the QB.
Kinda wish we had 69 here.
Oh, and is New England allowed to roll on the punted ball for 7-8 yards to push it back further?
Banny being Banny.
oh i know
i am all in favor of throwing to bowe. might be a good idea to look off a receiver though
by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:05 PM CDT up reply actions
why aren't we doing more of that..
imo, that’s when brodie actually looks confident
3rd and short. Two back set
And we roll out? I’m not just saying this because it didn’t work. We should have run there. If we’re conservative, let’s be conservative. Also, BOWE! Catch the ball!
This offense is Highschool. Good job Boone.
by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 1:07 PM CDT reply actions
I dont care
what anyone else says, I like BJ Sams back there. He is smart with the ball and runs where the hole is, even if it isn’t much of a hole.
Gailey
is officially a brutal playcaller. Until he stops the two-run offense, my opinion won’t change
run run pass
barely got it done for us that time. with our luck, we’ll be able to get in field goal range! hooray!
youre right
we should probably be targeting darling
by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:15 PM CDT up reply actions
This run run pass might have something to do with Herm.
by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 1:15 PM CDT reply actions
haha, not a lot of that actually.
For some crazy reason they seem to think they are in no trouble whatsoever
7-3 at half? Nobody could have called this.
by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 1:21 PM CDT reply actions
What is wrong with
Bowe, he cannot catch a cold in a phone booth!
Let's not comment
on stuff like that. If we had a HoF quarterback, we wouldn’t want anyone celebrating the guy that knocked him out, accident or not. Let’s be classy, KC fans.
Umm, What?
All I said was that New England prob disliked him. Eric, merely said that he was loved in KC. Then I went on to say that was reguardless of knockin Brady out. No one here is celebrating anything.
Is it just me or is macintosh getting beat on nearly every passing play?
On the Bright side, Albert is holding up well.
That would be great
but we all know it’s going to be a run
I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.
Len Dawson
is actually mocking the offense.
“What do you think now? A screen play? Pass to the flat? Something short?”
We have GOT to roll-out Brodie.
We cannot have him in the pocket. No time.. Hope his shoulder’s okay.
Dude Carson Palmer
is on my fantasy team and has earned me 1.72 points
aggh!
I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.
a troublemaker, a dangerous drinker, and a problem child
I don’t miss him for a second.
by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:51 PM CDT up reply actions
He wasn't exactly the reason we were still in it in the first place.
Lets see what Damon’s got.
Banny being Banny.
haha
yeah, playing relatively mistake free football totally didnt get us here
by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:54 PM CDT up reply actions
The problem is he doesn't help us at all
we need Brodie to develop. He’s got the physical tools, which Huard has NONE of. We needed him. We may have a better chance to win this game with Huard, but not become a better team.
by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:55 PM CDT up reply actions
Well, dammit,
If we aren’t going to have Brodie throw it down field at all, then dammit, he isn’t learning anything in there really.
He was just throwing dink and dunk passes again for the most part. I’d agree with you if he was throwing it down field at all.
Banny being Banny.
sometimes
you cant blame the qb for the playcalling
by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:58 PM CDT up reply actions
Again
THAT’S THE OFFENSE. This offense doesn’t stretch the field. At all. I’m not supporting that tactic, but don’t blame Brodie for doing what he’s coached to do.
by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:58 PM CDT up reply actions
I'm not blaming him dude, it is the playcalling
But saying his development is being ruined because he is out for the rest of this game is silly. They weren’t LETTING him throw it downfield at all.
Banny being Banny.
I was souring on Croyle anyway when he didn't get rid of the ball quicker
He saw the blitz coming, it was right on the line, and he still called the same full drop back play, and got completely bulldozed.
It will be a lesson learned from him.
Banny being Banny.
Woah
he’s not allowed to change plays. That’s the offense. Herm, Chan, whoever you want to blame, he’s not allowed to shift them in certain situations. They don’t trust him to let him off the hook. It’s the same thing we saw in the preseason. Don’t blame him for something he couldn’t control. He should be able to drop back a step without getting creamed.
by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:56 PM CDT up reply actions
If he seriously isn't allowed to audible to a quick pass when a blitz is staring at him
Then everyone on the coaching staff deserves to be fired.
Banny being Banny.
Ladies and Gentlemen
Bust out the “DAMON HUARD 4 MVPZ!” shirts, the gang’s getting back together!
*hangs self
Look at it this way, it turned out well last time Damon took over for
a bulldozed QB.
(AND ANOTHER GUT RUN FOR 2 YARDS)
Banny being Banny.
Come Bowe you better make up for your drops.
by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 2:00 PM CDT reply actions
Good Job LJ! Try not run out of bounds next time.
by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 2:02 PM CDT reply actions
YES!
I don’t have a tv so listening to Mitch is always exiting for me away from home. That Bowe catch is huge! God bless Huard and I underrate his veteran presence and ability
Go Chiefs!
