And just to prove how awake I am, it’s a 1pm kick off here in NY. At least it gave my bread long enough to rise before we run off to the pub.

Blame my wife!

Nice touch on the graphic

Both teams are 0-0!

All I’m asking for is one competitive half.

Sorry IIamuku

I had to delete that link for legal reasons.

Feel free to email it to anyone who asks though.

180$

is how much it will cost me to watch KC this year, worth every penny! GO CHIEFS!

Jimmy Johnson

“People say Kansas City is gonna be bad, but I say they’re gonna be REAL bad.”

by mynameistyler on Sep 7, 2008 11:41 AM CDT reply actions

Jimmy Johnson should know REAL bad teams

Cowboys were 1-15 his first year with Dallas. Kind of interesting, Jimmy Johnson traded Dallas’s best player (Hershell Walker) for a bunch of draft picks that ended up taking them to several super bowls…

by ChiefDJ on Sep 7, 2008 11:42 AM CDT up reply actions

It may be the last time all year we see .500

But I’m ready to get it going and see how these young guys do!

by ChiefDJ on Sep 7, 2008 11:41 AM CDT reply actions

Technically...

we’re .000. I certainly hope that’s not something we see all year.

by mynameistyler on Sep 7, 2008 11:45 AM CDT up reply actions

Hopefully

The Chiefs at least beat the spread. That would really help my mood should they lose…

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 11:53 AM CDT reply actions

15.5

So basically yes. I feel pretty confident that they will be able to….hopefully

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 11:56 AM CDT reply actions

Hah

I hate betting on the Chiefs, period. However, it is opening day, and I never bet against the Chiefs, so I had to do it!

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 12:01 PM CDT up reply actions

We'll make it

I hope

I jumped in on it...

Jets, Cowboys, Bucs, Colts straight up

$10 to win $119.76

As much as I never want to see an injury

That was huuuuge for the Chiefs. Do I smell a super bowl hangover?

I want to win but not like that!

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 12:22 PM CDT reply actions

One question about that play.

I thought the ground couldn’t cause a fumble?

by Warden11 on Sep 7, 2008 12:23 PM CDT reply actions

holy crap.

Announcers are actually answering my question.

by Warden11 on Sep 7, 2008 12:24 PM CDT up reply actions

Yep

My buddies asked the same question.

by Joel Thorman on Sep 7, 2008 12:25 PM CDT up reply actions

I hate

a run on 2nd and 9. LJ looks great though.

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 12:26 PM CDT reply actions

i think...

that might be the first time i’ve seen brodie take the hit while stepping up and throwing..

by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 12:29 PM CDT reply actions

My question is

what are you doing just waking up?

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 12:30 PM CDT reply actions

Pets

dog woke me up at 3AM puking for about two hours. such is what happens.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 12:31 PM CDT up reply actions

it is only noon.

Might have had a rough night?

by Warden11 on Sep 7, 2008 12:31 PM CDT up reply actions

everyone sticks their arms above their heads and you smell BO

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

by KCking on Sep 7, 2008 12:34 PM CDT reply actions

haha

Dorsey is a beast, he is in there every other play

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 12:35 PM CDT reply actions

5-11?

I understand that Brady isn’t playing, but this still doesn’t look like a 5-11 team, not so far atleast.

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 12:37 PM CDT reply actions

wow

can’t say i didnt see that coming. how embarassing

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 12:37 PM CDT reply actions

However.....

Our coverage is horrific. No better way to put it.

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 12:37 PM CDT reply actions

Why was McGraw in there? Sorry Gun,

But 3rd and 11 with Randy Moss? It adds up…

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 12:39 PM CDT reply actions

The problem is Cassell

knows the offense. Nice stop on that screen.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 12:41 PM CDT reply actions

sammy morris

we’re doing a good job of making him look like walter payton

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 12:42 PM CDT reply actions

Page

just got steamrolled. That’s embarrassing.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 12:42 PM CDT reply actions

ole

Sounds like the ole defense

by dklogue1 on Sep 7, 2008 12:44 PM CDT reply actions

fantasy owners

, i would imagine, hate belichick. where’s maroney? not that it would matter who’s running on us at this point…

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 12:46 PM CDT reply actions

No Page wasnt bad open field tackle isnt bad. Hope he is ok.

by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 12:46 PM CDT reply actions

Okay, this is where the cover 2 should be effective.

We should be able to at least not get anyone behind us. Fear the lob.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 12:46 PM CDT reply actions

D bend but dont break…..PLEASE!

by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 12:47 PM CDT reply actions

Wow well thats Moss for you!

by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 12:49 PM CDT reply actions

matt cassel

leads the patriots on a 98 yard drive! who expected that would be the scenario of the first scoring drive of this game?

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 12:49 PM CDT reply actions

ugh

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

by KCking on Sep 7, 2008 12:50 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah feel you on the stupid hope Matt

by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 12:50 PM CDT reply actions

pretty decent return

by sams. i was expecting disaster when he took it from that deep

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 12:52 PM CDT reply actions

Run Run...

Pass Punt? Seem familiar?

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 12:53 PM CDT reply actions

no kidding

either he’s being covered really well, or we’re just missing out. not a single pass thrown his direction

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 12:55 PM CDT up reply actions

run run pass

has solari committed a hostile re-takeover of the offensive playcalling?

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 12:54 PM CDT reply actions

Brodie is scared of throwing it downfield, this is sad.

by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 12:55 PM CDT reply actions

Brodie gave it to the RB 3 times on the last drive.

He is not scared of throwing it downfield. Or, you can’t make that assessment. If he is told to throw a deep pattern, he will.

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 7, 2008 12:56 PM CDT up reply actions

sure seems like it

all thats different is that we are calling better running plays, thats it

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 12:55 PM CDT reply actions

gotta look on the bright side

we’re only down seven, and we’re doing a kick ass job of punting! (mild sarcasm)

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 12:56 PM CDT reply actions

+1

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

by KCking on Sep 7, 2008 12:56 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah

We’re doing really well thus far. Defense looks sharp. The mistakes so far have bee acceptable.

by Joel Thorman on Sep 7, 2008 12:57 PM CDT up reply actions

Our D is gonna need a stretcher after this.

by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 12:58 PM CDT reply actions

LAMONT JORDAN?

Seriously? He stinks! 5 yards!

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 7, 2008 12:58 PM CDT reply actions

it seems like

it doesn’t matter who’s running on us right now; our d-line is just caving on every run

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 12:58 PM CDT reply actions

maybe it's just me

but i think the patriots would love to get through this game without having to re-insert brady. can’t say the same for his fantasy owners though….

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:00 PM CDT reply actions

Cassell had all the time in the world

Our D-Line is getting absolutely dominated and we are getting no pressure on the QB.

Kinda wish we had 69 here.

Oh, and is New England allowed to roll on the punted ball for 7-8 yards to push it back further?

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 7, 2008 1:00 PM CDT reply actions

A 70 yard punt

ouch

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

by KCking on Sep 7, 2008 1:02 PM CDT reply actions

judging by your name

you would think thats a good thing! Hah sorry, had to point it out

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 1:04 PM CDT reply actions

oh i know

i am all in favor of throwing to bowe. might be a good idea to look off a receiver though

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:05 PM CDT up reply actions

Wooooooooooooow.

D-Bowe with the big drop.

We cant do anything right.

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 7, 2008 1:05 PM CDT reply actions

croyle

looked good on that bootleg

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:05 PM CDT reply actions

why aren't we doing more of that..

imo, that’s when brodie actually looks confident

by cah05 on Sep 7, 2008 1:06 PM CDT up reply actions

3rd and short. Two back set

And we roll out? I’m not just saying this because it didn’t work. We should have run there. If we’re conservative, let’s be conservative. Also, BOWE! Catch the ball!

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:07 PM CDT reply actions

Not a bad play call

Bowe just dropped the ball

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

by KCking on Sep 7, 2008 1:07 PM CDT reply actions

This offense is Highschool. Good job Boone.

by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 1:07 PM CDT reply actions

In other news:

The New York Jets are playing Miami without a kicker.

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 7, 2008 1:08 PM CDT reply actions

Nice Sams

He’s terrible. When all other parts are equal go with youth!

by Joel Thorman on Sep 7, 2008 1:09 PM CDT reply actions

I dont care

what anyone else says, I like BJ Sams back there. He is smart with the ball and runs where the hole is, even if it isn’t much of a hole.

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 1:09 PM CDT reply actions

Predictable gut running plays?

On consecutive plays?

Solari?

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 7, 2008 1:10 PM CDT reply actions

Gailey

is officially a brutal playcaller. Until he stops the two-run offense, my opinion won’t change

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 1:10 PM CDT reply actions

run run pass

barely got it done for us that time. with our luck, we’ll be able to get in field goal range! hooray!

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:11 PM CDT reply actions

bowe?

he is doing his part in killing our offense right now

by Ben S on Sep 7, 2008 1:12 PM CDT reply actions

as ugly as it is

this is how we like to move the ball, and it’s working on this drive.

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:13 PM CDT reply actions

This run run pass might have something to do with Herm.

by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 1:15 PM CDT reply actions

Probably

a lot of the word “fack”

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:20 PM CDT up reply actions

haha, not a lot of that actually.

For some crazy reason they seem to think they are in no trouble whatsoever

by Randa4life on Sep 7, 2008 1:23 PM CDT up reply actions

field goal

exactly what we were looking for

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:19 PM CDT reply actions

7-3 at half? Nobody could have called this.

by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 1:21 PM CDT reply actions

wow

my heart just skipped a beat

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:22 PM CDT reply actions

Let's not comment

on stuff like that. If we had a HoF quarterback, we wouldn’t want anyone celebrating the guy that knocked him out, accident or not. Let’s be classy, KC fans.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:31 PM CDT reply actions

Umm, What?

All I said was that New England prob disliked him. Eric, merely said that he was loved in KC. Then I went on to say that was reguardless of knockin Brady out. No one here is celebrating anything.

by Randa4life on Sep 7, 2008 1:35 PM CDT up reply actions

That would be great

but we all know it’s going to be a run

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

by KCking on Sep 7, 2008 1:36 PM CDT reply actions

I concur

let’s try a fleaflicker

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

Hey

we’re getting positive yards

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

by KCking on Sep 7, 2008 1:42 PM CDT reply actions

Charles is for real

You notice how much effort he puts into every run? I’m just sayin.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:42 PM CDT reply actions

What? didnt he hit the punter?

by ChiefinSaintsland on Sep 7, 2008 1:44 PM CDT reply actions

is brodie ok?

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

by KCking on Sep 7, 2008 1:44 PM CDT reply actions

We have GOT to roll-out Brodie.

We cannot have him in the pocket. No time.. Hope his shoulder’s okay.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:45 PM CDT reply actions

By the way

Matt Ryan looks like a freaking beast. His first pass was a 63 yard touchdown.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:46 PM CDT reply actions

Too much

youth in the secondary against a loaded system

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:48 PM CDT reply actions

This is getting

embarrassing

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 7, 2008 1:49 PM CDT reply actions

We’re making Matt Cassell look like Carson Palmer.

is on my fantasy team and has earned me 1.72 points
aggh!

by KCking on Sep 7, 2008 1:50 PM CDT up reply actions

Theyre running it right at Tank Tyler

He is letting guys breeze right past him.

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 7, 2008 1:52 PM CDT reply actions

It's like

we play great run defense for 8 plays and terrible run defense for two.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:52 PM CDT reply actions

Aaaaand that'll do it.

Brodie’s going to the locker room. Say goodnight.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:53 PM CDT reply actions

haha

yeah, playing relatively mistake free football totally didnt get us here

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:54 PM CDT up reply actions

The problem is he doesn't help us at all

we need Brodie to develop. He’s got the physical tools, which Huard has NONE of. We needed him. We may have a better chance to win this game with Huard, but not become a better team.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:55 PM CDT up reply actions

Well, dammit,

If we aren’t going to have Brodie throw it down field at all, then dammit, he isn’t learning anything in there really.

He was just throwing dink and dunk passes again for the most part. I’d agree with you if he was throwing it down field at all.

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 7, 2008 1:57 PM CDT up reply actions

sometimes

you cant blame the qb for the playcalling

by The DBowe Show on Sep 7, 2008 1:58 PM CDT up reply actions

Again

THAT’S THE OFFENSE. This offense doesn’t stretch the field. At all. I’m not supporting that tactic, but don’t blame Brodie for doing what he’s coached to do.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:58 PM CDT up reply actions

I'm not blaming him dude, it is the playcalling

But saying his development is being ruined because he is out for the rest of this game is silly. They weren’t LETTING him throw it downfield at all.

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 7, 2008 1:59 PM CDT up reply actions

You have to have time to throw it down field

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

by KCking on Sep 7, 2008 1:58 PM CDT up reply actions

just heard

doesn’t look like brodie’s coming back in

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

by KCking on Sep 7, 2008 1:53 PM CDT reply actions

I was souring on Croyle anyway when he didn't get rid of the ball quicker

He saw the blitz coming, it was right on the line, and he still called the same full drop back play, and got completely bulldozed.

It will be a lesson learned from him.

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 7, 2008 1:55 PM CDT reply actions

Woah

he’s not allowed to change plays. That’s the offense. Herm, Chan, whoever you want to blame, he’s not allowed to shift them in certain situations. They don’t trust him to let him off the hook. It’s the same thing we saw in the preseason. Don’t blame him for something he couldn’t control. He should be able to drop back a step without getting creamed.

by Ridiculous Matt on Sep 7, 2008 1:56 PM CDT up reply actions

If he seriously isn't allowed to audible to a quick pass when a blitz is staring at him

Then everyone on the coaching staff deserves to be fired.

Banny being Banny.
