Sunday Morning Routine
I’ll get up early (as I always do), look over my fantasy lineups and make last minute changes. I try to make sure I see NFL Match Up each week. I find I learn more about the Xs and Os from that show than anywhere else.
I’ll then take a shower (who knows if a cute chick might be at the bar and it’s important to remember that if you smell good, you don’t stink) and make the last minute decision as to which jersey I’ll rock that week. I own two, number 58 and 88. After Thomas died I refused to wear 58 until the Chiefs made the playoffs again. For years I only wore 88. Now, both are in rotation. I try to decide which squad needs my support most each week then wear that jersey. I have no clue this week.
Kick off is 1:00pm for me, which gives me an hour more than you CST guys to consume the beverage. There’s a little bar near me (crawling distance when hammered) that I go to every week. The beauty of it is it’s never too full and I always get a good TV. Better yet, there’s never the pressure to keep ordering. You know that feeling I’m sure, that unspoken push by the staff. I’ll order my beer and finish watching all three pregame shows at once.
Sometimes there’s an opposing team’s fan, sometimes not. I prefer it if there is. It’s always more fun to trash talk. Either way, I enjoy my beer(s), a little bar pie (that’s pizza for the uninformed), and root for my Chiefs.
I honestly have no idea how this season will turn out. No one does. I personally believe we’re not as bad as most think. We’ll see. I do know, however, that we have a classy organization and some of the best fans in the game. Win or lose, it’s easy to root for this team.
I prefer a win, though.
Go Chiefs!

I don't have a set routine
I tend to do different stuff for the games, from going to a friend’s house to watching it by myself to going to a bar.
This is my first season outside of KC in a couple of years so I have no idea what I’m going to have to do to watch the game.

Change this year
We might check out a different bar, it’s a little closer but could be full of hipsters.
Blame my wife!

Yeah,
that’s about what I do too. Get every single chore done, log onto the computer about 11:45 to set fantasy rosters, then grab the drink of choice and park myself in front of the TV.
That may change Sunday, though, as I’m expecting a pretty big hangover after going out to celebrate 2 friends’ birthdays on Saturday night.

Yep, get the chores out of the way
Then sit in front of the TV for 10 hours.
Are we projecting a midwestern cliche or what?

Mine is pretty similar...
I wake up early, get my stuff done, go to Quik Trip and get: coffee, KC Star, and the beer I choose for that day. Then I head home fix my fantasy rosters for about an hour and watch pregame at the same time. I usually have a friend or 2 over then eat, drink, eat, drink, eat, and drink some more! Sometimes I head over to the Buffalo Wild Wings about a half mile away.

Different from years past.
My sunday’s usually would consist of meeting up and tailgating with a group of friends for home games…..As for away games, we would get together at my house and grill and have kind of a tailgate at the house. Usually after either scenario, the night would turn into a poker game. Those were the days.
This will be the first season living in Florida and working in the Gulf. During work I am the only Chiefs fan but, my co-workers respect my “fandom” and agree to let me watch the games. At home I have found there are quite a few Chiefs fans in the Pensacola area, and will hopefully enjoy some games with them. My wife is a huge fan and has agreed to get NFL ticket.
Heres to starting a new Chiefs fan base!
