Hyperextended right elbow.

Rookie LT Branden Albert left the game on Sunday with a hyperextended right elbow, according to Herm Edwards on 101.1 "The Fox" halftime show.  He said that it wasn't serious but he wouldn't come back to the game(which he didn't).  For it being not serious it looked like BA was in alot of pain as he was being carted off the field.  How long does it typically take to get back from this injury?  Herb Taylor played very well in his absence, but we still need BA out there to develop.

i was really wondering the extent of this injury. Hopefully he will be back soon.

If it's only hyperextended and not dislocated

and if Herm says it’s not that bad, he could be back this coming week. By the look on Albert’s face, I’d say he’ll probably be out this coming week, take the bye, and be back vs Tennessee. Good news for the Chiefs!

He looked like he was in some serious pain.

I hope we don’t rush him back, if he is back for the Titans I will be happy. Julius Peppers isn’t the same player he once was, so Herb should be ok this week vs the Panthers.

As long as Herb plays well

I hope they don’t rush him back too fast. I think we can survive without him for a little while and we are not going to the playoffs this year so let him get healthy so this doesn’t turn into a season long problem.

I think one of our "surprises" so far this season

Is the very competent play at Left tackle of Herb Taylor. Who would have thought that he would have stepped up like he has? For a 6th round pick, we finally have at the very least some quality O line depth at a critical position, and at the most he may continue to improve and end up being a starter someday. Another one of Herm’s picks that is showing more promise than expected.

Side note

The rotating ad in the right column that is on the page for me right now is for three different kinds of elbow straps and supports. Granted, it’s tennis elbow. I’m assuming the ads are not content driven, so it’s a little quirky.

Strange

Why did they take him off the field in a cart? I thought it was his knee cause it looked like he couldn’t put any weight on his leg.

Check his measurements

He was in a lot of pain. Didn’t want the arm to move. Who was going to volunteer to carry him?

(okay, granted… cart… elbow… not typical…)

On 810 today

they said that every step he took it made his elbow hurt that much more.
