I'll be catching this game via the radio, or the Sling Box if I can get it working. There is a curious lack of sports bars in India. I think I can be around for this entire open thread, which should be a lot of fun.

GOOOOO CHIEFS!!!

Hey Chris

How is India treating you? Have you caught the worlds most wanted man yet?

by Eric Allen on Sep 28, 2008 11:12 AM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Not quite sure if he is here yet

I know that his internet connection has been pretty awful.

by primetime 07 on Sep 28, 2008 11:13 AM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Ok, I'm awake now

Not quite game ready yet but I throw some red clothes by game time. I might bake a cake if the game gets really bad.

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 28, 2008 11:28 AM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Been sacked once

For a loss of 9 yards. Now that’s impressive considering how often he throws the ball. And they’re starting a rookie LT.

9.5 points

NYTimes has a Broncos win by 9.5 points.

Who thinks we can beat that?

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 28, 2008 11:36 AM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

If we keep it to 9.5 points

Would be shocking, we gave up all the points to a team with a rookie HC, I can only imagine what Shanahan has planned for us. The only way this game is close if the Donkeys play down to our level. With what I have seen all season, I do not see us playing up to theirs. I have been wrong before though.

RE:

His response to being asked if TG was the best ever was “I got the jewelry”

by primetime 07 on Sep 28, 2008 11:49 AM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I agree!

PT I see by your comments, you are expecting a blowout loss?

by Eric Allen on Sep 28, 2008 11:50 AM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Someone Has to Do It

So, it may as well be me!

Chiefs 38 (2 Passing, 2 Rushing, I Defensive, 1 FG)
Broncos 34 (3 Passing, 1 Rushing, 2 FG)

I hope none of you choked on your beer laughing. Just thought it was a fun way to fantasize, prior to the real game starting.

I watched the 1994 Chiefs-Broncos MNF game this morning..

unfortunately the only Chiefs highlight of the day..

Here we go

I could care less about the game I just wanted to see pictures of donkeys and dolphins.

by primetime 07 on Sep 28, 2008 12:02 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Hmmm,

I see we have the running game going

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 28, 2008 12:05 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Remember

LJ has dominated Denver in his career.

by primetime 07 on Sep 28, 2008 12:06 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

It's a good sign

When LJ looks like he gets some attitude.

by primetime 07 on Sep 28, 2008 12:08 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Last Lead

What was that ridiculous stat about the last lead? Wasn’t it like Nov of last year?

by ashleylat on Sep 28, 2008 12:08 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Now...

If we can just pass beyond the line of scrimmage.

by ashleylat on Sep 28, 2008 12:10 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Exactly,

But that would push conservative bounderies.

by Eric Allen on Sep 28, 2008 12:11 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Dude

LJ is making defenders fall backwards. We haven’t seen that in long, long time.

by primetime 07 on Sep 28, 2008 12:09 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Red zone panic

Why can’t we finish properly?

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 28, 2008 12:11 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I miss attacking

After a turnover, take a shot at the endzone!

by Eric Allen on Sep 28, 2008 12:24 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

The only way we

Get in the endzone is off of a long run or pass.

by Eric Allen on Sep 28, 2008 12:26 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

DJ!

blew up the RB on that sack..

by cah05 on Sep 28, 2008 12:30 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I'm confused

What team am I watching today?

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 28, 2008 12:33 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Denver's Defense is horrible

28th in the league in scoring. Giving up 28 a game.

by ashleylat on Sep 28, 2008 12:35 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

That doesn’t explain everything else. Are we essentially replaying our home opener with the spirit we should have had the first time.

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 28, 2008 12:37 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

No way we score 28,

Herm will start making tackles on our team for getting yards after the catch!

by Eric Allen on Sep 28, 2008 12:37 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

we're keeping their dfense on the field

and their offense on the sidelines.

So that’s promising.

by AngryJesus on Sep 28, 2008 12:38 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

LJ running like he means it!

He is actually finishing off runs!

by Eric Allen on Sep 28, 2008 12:38 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

So sick of Damien McIntosh

AND NICK NOVAK.

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 28, 2008 12:41 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Seriously, Nick Novak can't make long field goals

And he is a liability on short ones.

Why don’t we just sign Mort again?

Banny being Banny.

by JobDDT on Sep 28, 2008 12:42 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Novak NEEDS to kick this.

If he can, we’ll all cheer and he’ll feel better.

Otherwise he’s in jeopardy.

by AngryJesus on Sep 28, 2008 12:42 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Wow, I'm Really Glad That We Didn't Go With The Rookie Kicker

You never know when rookies are going to miss a field goal that matters. It’s much better to have a veteran who you know is going to miss.

Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.

by UCrawford on Sep 28, 2008 12:43 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

To think if our

Coach was not so conservative, it could be 14-0!

I've lived in KC my whole life.

Currently a student, on internship in SE Missouri.

Maybe something we’ll grow to understand.

by AngryJesus on Sep 28, 2008 12:48 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Gee throwing it

In the endzone what a concept!

by Eric Allen on Sep 28, 2008 12:51 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

But this is where the wheels come off.

by Eric Allen on Sep 28, 2008 12:52 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Don’t get sour.

by AngryJesus on Sep 28, 2008 12:52 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yeah that's the spirit

All we need now is for Charles to run back the kickoff for TD and we’re back in it!

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 28, 2008 12:53 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Holy Shit!

Savage got destroyed…
I have no idea how he kept the ball..

Huard > Brodie > Thigpen

Start him the rest of the year and then find someone new during the off season..

Something new.

by AngryJesus on Sep 28, 2008 12:59 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

shut up

and enjoy those beautiful punts.

Mitch f*cking loves the punts. He practically nuts describing their every bounce.

by AngryJesus on Sep 28, 2008 1:02 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Hey, I wasn't knockin him

It’s just, punter is supposed to be one of those under-appreciated positions in sports. We just must be really insightful fans.

by Official Arrowhead Pride Parade on Sep 28, 2008 1:04 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yeah

“We need to get this guy signed for a multiyear deal. Seal him up!”

What does THAT say about Herm?

Bill Grigsby

Announcer who has a tendency to knock a few back during the games.

by primetime 07 on Sep 28, 2008 1:46 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Here it is
Rookie left tackle Branden Albert was carted off the field late in the second quarter Sunday after he injured his elbow.

His return was announced as questionable.

Albert was blocking on a Jamaal Charles rush, and Broncos safety Marquand Manuel fell on Albert’s right arm.

Thanks for the heads up, Ashley.

by primetime 07 on Sep 28, 2008 1:48 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Herm just said

he doesn’t think Albert will be back today
