Bulger and Holt on I-70 headed west?

According to NFL network Scott Linehan is looking to trade or release Torry Holt, and Bulger refuses to play for him. I know they are aging. But both would be great additions and would help develop these young guys we have now. If the price wasn't too steep it would atleast be worth a sniff. What do you think? What  would it take? How much would it help, if at all. Or do you think it  would hurt?

No way in hell

they’ll part w/ Bulger. You just don’t do that w/ franchise QB’s. As for Holt, I don’t expect him there beyond next season. I wonder if the Rams are about blow up and rebuild like we’ve done..

Well Linehan may

Hit the highway if they do not win tomorrow. Schefter reported that Linehan will get his walking papers if they do not win tomorrow.

It's Not Going To Happen

St. Louis is not going to ship out Bulger one year after giving him a long-term deal, nor are they shipping Holt. If it were just two players who didn’t like Linehan that’s one thing, but Steven Jackson (who just signed a major contract) has already started publicly questioning his decisions too, as apparently have several other vets in the locker room. Basically, Linehan’s lost the locker room to a degree that even if he wins tomorrow he’s probably still getting the axe next week.

Also

None of the players who hate Linehan except Steven Jackson fit our plans, and Jackson’s not coming here so it’s a non-issue.

I Bet

Holt will be traded by the deadline. Bulger is not going anywhere. Holt would be an amazing addition, but the draft pick compensation would be to high. I say we pass. Lee Evans and JP Losman would be better to get in the offseason. You know Losman was playing pretty good before Edwards took over. If we could get Losman right out of the gate in free agency we could probably swoon Evans into coming too. We would also have to address RT, good thing there are plenty out there. Then, in the draft we could get the rest of our weaknesses like MLB and RG.

Losman Is A Good Addition

Evans is going to get franchised if the Bills can’t re-sign him. They’re not letting their top receiving threat leave. Losman was a decent QB before he got benched but he’s mostly attractive for us because he’s unlikely to require any compensation to Buffalo if we sign him.

Well...

Schefter is now reporting that if the Rams dont beat the Bills Linehan may be fired immediately. SO if these players truly feel that way about their coach I expect a half-assed effort…

Holt would be ok for now, but he is old…Bulger is a no no

I wouldn't want any of them

Holt wouldn’t be an upgrade for next year and Bulger isn’t the long term answer. I have a good friend that is a HUGE Bills fan and he laughs every time I show him a post on us getting Losman. He hopes that we do get him, because he says Losman is an OK QB, but only a couple of the Bill’s bloggers want him. He says anyone who really knows Losman’s abilities and has followed him, doesn’t want him. I can’t say that he would be a step down from our current QB issues, but it sure doesn’t seem he would be an upgrade either, according to the Bills fan.

I’d rather let this season play out and see what we end up with from our current three (Croyle, Thigpen, Martin). If they can’t grow up, learn to be NFL starters, or stay healthy, then so be it, but at least we will have given them the opportunity to prove or disprove it.

I Don't Think Anyone's Seriously Considering A QB Of The Future

But I think he’s good enough to start until we can develop one.
