This says it all...

Well if you are one of those kool-aid drinkers thinking that the "rebuilding" with this organization will work in '09 and '10 then read what Weigman has to say about his stint here. Honestly, this just supports the notion of many that this organization is imploding with poor decisions....but what's new.
Carl, Carl, Carl....leaving a voicemail, how typical. Even though he's not specifically mentioned, I'm sure you can all smell the stench coming from 1 Arrowhead Drive. The BBQ can't mask it anymore since noone is cooking in the parking lot.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

Key Quote
“They called me and left a voicemail on my cell phone,” he said. “It’s amazing. When you give them all your hard work and all your blood, sweat and tears, they give you a phone call and leave a voicemail. It’s not really the right way to do things.”

Breaking Up Is Easy
Why bother yourself with the feelings of the little people by giving them the news in person when you can leave a message and dump them by phone? It’s not like free agents looking for a new team ever notice when GMs treat their players like that. :)

I just cannot see how the Chiefs could defend that, if its true
I am not saying it isn’t true, just that…

Yeah
this is pretty terrible.

Depressing
That was one of the most depressing articles that I have ever heard. I tailgated with Casey’s dad all of last year and you could tell that all the talk about him being washed up was getting to him. They, and the 15 or so friends that went to the games, decided not to renew their tickets until after it was resolved and still haven’t. Things like that make UCrawford not sound quite as pessimistic about everything Carl:)

You Mean Not Quite As Unreasonable About Everything Carl?
Because I’ll openly admit that I’m pessimistic about all things Carl :)

“I went to work. I did my work and I left right after work. It was just a miserable atmosphere. I don’t know what it was. . . . Things just spiraled downhill.”
Sounds about right for most people on the team last year, and NOW. There’s no heart in it.
have you seen my baseball?

I’t all goes back to ownership guys. Why has CP been here this long? He has not produced a SB, and he brings in Herm the Destroyer who can’t coach!!! It is high time that Clark Hunt do what his father didn’t “GET RID OF CARL PETTERSON AND SEND HIS COACH WITH HIM”

play-calling
“Kansas City’s once-powerful offense had, according to Wiegmann, become so predictable that, during the 2007 season finale in New York, Jets defensive players at the line of scrimmage called out the exact play the Chiefs were about to run three straight times.”
Only three?

Funny
I could have sworn I saw the Falcons doing that very same thing to us on Sunday. But that couldn’t possibly happen, considering how Herm and Carl changed the offense and got rid of the offensive coordinator who was completely at fault for how terrible that offense looked and who probably ignored his brilliant head coach’s decisions on what plays to call.

Ugh
this is the kind of stuff that just makes me nauseous to think about. I feel like we’re in the stone age going up against Star Wars.

Frankly I feel a little naive
Weigmann did not deserve that at all. How can we expect players to want to come play for KC with things like tha?. Another nail in the coffin for this regime it would seem.

All we heard all year was how he was terrible but..
Wiegmann believed he played “average” in 2007 but still ranked among the top half of NFL centers.
Granted there are only 32 starting centers in the NFL but still ANY player in the top half of the league is still having a good year. I think as more comes out we will see that more and more of the problems with this team are not scheme and players’ ability but really a lack of motivation.
When you have a job you hate, no matter how much you try you just don’t give 100% because your heart isn’t in it. If you don’t believe you can be successful then you are almost sure to fail.
