Chances of 0-16?
I think after seeing the Atl game, we have a really good shot of going o-fer for the season. Todd Blackledge and Bill Kenney looked better than what I have seen thus far at QB. This reminds me of the Nick "the kick" Lowery days, but now we have Dustin "I don't have a nickname" Colquitt. Welcome to the first pick--please don't pick QB in 2009--they all suck in college right now...

I think it's entirely possible.
I thought the over/under of 2 wins was tenuous.
But don’t worry, Huard may start next week. Then we’ll go 13-3 and win the Super Bowl!
No, seriously, we may go 0-16. We better get a Super Bowl out of this run. I’m just saying. We’ll have earned it.

Better Than 50% I'd Say
I figured we’d be able to grab at least one of those two games versus Atlanta and Oakland. If Kiffin goes and gets himself fired in Oakland I do like our odds against them in the second go-around. Beyond that, I don’t see anyone else on the schedule that I think we can beat.

I am hoping we can win at least one.
I would like the Chiefs to not be the last team to win a game but who knows. Also The other post that says we should trade for Quinn, they might not trade him seeing as how the Browns have the worst offense in football and they might just try Quinn to see if that changes anything.

We'll know more when Croyle comes back.
If he doesn’t shatter at the first hit, he’ll give us a better chance to win as the season goes on.
by NJChiefsFan on Sep 22, 2008 5:29 AM CDT 0 recs
they're now saying 8 weeks minimum for Croyle's return
I really don’t know if Croyle will be able to give anyone a chance to win

Where have you seen this?
I’ve seen some posts here, and someone mentioned WPI, but I can’t find the reference.
Also no mention at the Red Zone, Gretz, or when I Google under news.
Thanks!

I Did A Look Around The Net
Nobody seems to be saying 8 weeks. The Chiefs indicated about a month. I think someone exaggerated and it’s caught on as a rumor.

6-8 weeks
is right on for a separated shoulder – pending the degree of separation. I would think for him to take NFL punnishment it would be longer than 3-4 weeks as initially stated by the Chiefs. I saw that ‘out 8 weeks’ thing somewhere as well – can’t find it now though.

All I've Ever Heard
Is about 4 weeks. As I recall that’s what Stephania Bell, the injury expert at ESPN, predicted and she’s usually dead on.

No way
The Chiefs are winning at least three games this year. And those will be based on a lot of luck.

Maybe
It’s exceedingly difficult to lose 16 games in a season.

Kinda makes you wonder
if it is actually harder to lose 16, than to win three?

It's almost as hard to go 0-16 as it is to go 16-0.
I guess we did see 16-0 last year, but I think our young guys start to figure it out the last month of the season. The last 3 weeks of the season we could win 2 of the 3. We always play San Diego close at home, Miami is a winnable game, and at Cincy might give us some light at the end of the tunnel. There is always the possibility that a team comes in expecting to beat us and plays flat and we squeek out a win. Final record:2-14 with wins over the Bucs and Bengals.

What is the...
rule about drafting 1st if there are two 0-16 teams? The Rams (yes, look at my screen name…I am a Ram fan, too) are going 0-16 this year. They would go 0-40 if there were that many games…
So. Like I was saying, if both Missouri teams go 0-16…what happens? Who gets the #1?
by stlfan on Sep 22, 2008 10:09 AM CDT 0 recs
Jefferson City gets it.

No way they hold the Tigers to 40.

KC
They beat the rams in the preseason to get the governor’s cup back.

Either way...
The Chiefs need the best QB available…the Rams don’t…so I don’t care who picks first really.

two teams same record
if 2 teams have identical records it comes down to a coin flip. thats what they did last draft as there were 4 teams that had the same record.

well there are lots of tiebreakers first
based on conference games, non-conference games, common opponents, winning percentages and all that crap.
the weird thing was, that even after the tiebreakers, ATL, OAK, and KC were all still tied…very rare.

Nah it's cool
They signed Tommy Kelly to a contract with $19 million guaranteed even though he’s never played three technique and only appeared in 7 games last season.

Colquitt's Nickname
I think we ought to call to call Dustin “Can’t Quit” Colquitt! I’ve been calling him that since last year. It rhymes and its true with this year he can’t quit punting. See where I am going with this.
