Quinn still to KC?
Jay Glazer had this report prior to the game - sorry if anyone has already shouted this out and I just missed it.
BOWLIN' FOR BRADY: The Kansas City Chiefs are starting their third starting quarterback in as many weeks as Tyler Thigpen takes the helm today.
They are a team that is admittedly in a rebuilding mode. However, this week they tried to make a move to rebuild with quite the name.
The Chiefs actually called the Browns this week trying to trade for Brady Quinn. Unfortunately for Chiefs fans, the Browns rebuffed their offer as Quinn, who is viewed in Cleveland as the ultimate insurance policy in case Derek Anderson was a one-year wonder.
If I were Cleveland I would definitely make this deal - they are looking at 2 1st rounders next year including one in the top 5 for our pick - depending on what changes are made. Nick Athan's article over at WPI also says we should send our 2nd rounder to Arizona for Boldin. Not sure if we should do that quite yet but today just was not good enough and something has got to happen. He also says that talks should heat up for Quinn in the next few days. We'll see, but now that Cleveland lost again his market value just moved up at least the premium of a later round pick. My bet is it will take our 1st and 4th rounders to secure Brady. I'll watch more games if this happens but I am not going to Arrowhead again until I see changes.

Sorry KC King
Just noticed your post – good timing. I guess this post will just harken to Athan’s article.

Better than other options
We would be looking at getting a QB in this year’s draft who wouldn’t be nearly as proven as Quinn was in college.
His numbers in college definitely translate to the NFL very well.

It would take two #1's to get Brady Quinn....
Cleveland paid a 1st and 2nd to get him. Granted the Browns had a good season last year so the choice was a low first rounder but at the time it was a big price to pay for a rebuilding team. Also, the way Cleveland is playing they may beat the Chiefs to the first pick. Another point is that no team wants to two high draft picks as it’s not economically feasible. Being a Browns fan for 35 years I cannot see them getting rid of Quinn when you may have a 1-year wonder in Derek Anderson. I was hoping they’d trade Anderson in the off-season and hand the team over to Quinn. That looks like that may happen soon anyway.
