Gannon all the way!

Need some o-lineman up there, where is Shields, Grunny, Roaf, Szott, and on and on?

by Eric Allen on Sep 21, 2008 10:40 AM CDT   0 recs

Damn, I am spoiled!

Do not worry Chris, I am not crazy! Well maybe after this season!

by Eric Allen on Sep 21, 2008 10:54 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Hey,

where’s the “All of the above” option?

Or I guess it could be “most of the above”, since we don’t need Green, Gannon and Dawson all at the same time. Of course, if we stick them behind the current O-line, we’d need all three before the game was over.

by Seth_C on Sep 21, 2008 10:49 AM CDT   0 recs

Ha!

True, true. None of those QBs is surviving behind our line.

by Chris on Sep 21, 2008 10:51 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Have fun online guys!

I’m off to the bar.

Post game drunken praise (or rants) forthcoming.

by NJChiefsFan on Sep 21, 2008 10:55 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Thanks!

Good luck….at least the Jets don’t play until Monday.

by primetime 07 on Sep 21, 2008 11:01 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Me too

I’ll be there in a bit.

by Chris on Sep 21, 2008 11:01 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Option

What’s the over/under for options plays today? I say 5.

by ashleylat on Sep 21, 2008 10:58 AM CDT   0 recs

Under

Herm wants to keep the element of surprise in his offense.

Wow, I can’t believe I just typed that.

by Chris on Sep 21, 2008 10:59 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Surprise

Maybe he should punt on 3rd downs. That would be a surprise.

by ashleylat on Sep 21, 2008 11:00 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Well not since you just

spoiled it. Now Herm and Chan are gonna have to try to come up with some plays to run on 3rd down!

by Seth_C on Sep 21, 2008 11:01 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Innovative

I don’t know why, but I like it..

by primetime 07 on Sep 21, 2008 11:02 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

If things start going south,

Just punt on first down, it could be like a long pass play!

by Eric Allen on Sep 21, 2008 11:03 AM CDT   0 recs

Interesting...

especially since Colquitt is the MVP of the team.

And, after all, shouldn’t we be playing our best players as much as possible?

by Seth_C on Sep 21, 2008 11:05 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Nice touch

I hope Herm doesn’t read AP…he might take us seriously.

by primetime 07 on Sep 21, 2008 11:06 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Remind me...

Why is Savage inactive?

by primetime 07 on Sep 21, 2008 11:04 AM CDT   0 recs

Alright, you got me.

I suppose I took the word “reason” to mean “understandable and/or rational reason”. That’s what I get for assuming things.

by Seth_C on Sep 21, 2008 11:12 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Booomer

Just said we will see Hewwrd at some point today, god not the carousel again!

by Eric Allen on Sep 21, 2008 11:11 AM CDT   0 recs

I've got a hunch we'll see Huard too,

but it’ll be because we had to scrape Bones off the field.

by Seth_C on Sep 21, 2008 11:15 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

If it comes down to that

Will we see some o-line changes?

by Eric Allen on Sep 21, 2008 11:16 AM CDT   0 recs

Why he's our fearless leader

Chris, over on The Falcoholic’s gameday thread:

And here’s to no injuries. Or dogs harmed during the filming of this game.

Classic!

by primetime 07 on Sep 21, 2008 11:18 AM CDT   0 recs

How many of you

Are going to need a virtual ride home from our online pub today?

Glad I bought my liquor in bulk today….

by primetime 07 on Sep 21, 2008 11:20 AM CDT   0 recs

Unfortunately

I didn’t get out to the liquor stores, so I’m stuck with a couple of bottles of beer.

by Seth_C on Sep 21, 2008 11:43 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Haven't finished my breakfast yet

Ok, so I had a lie in this morning. The cat even obliged by not bothering me too much. So I think I need to finish my coffee before moving on to the bottles of Brooklyn Lager in the fridge.

I have to admit, I’m too embarrassed after last week to go out in public wearing a Chiefs top so I’m staying in.

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 21, 2008 11:46 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Coin toss

We can’t even win a damn coin toss!

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 21, 2008 12:01 PM CDT   0 recs

and

he nearly fumbled

by The DBowe Show on Sep 21, 2008 12:06 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

nearly

but didn’t.

He’s been watching Huard, he’s a man who knows how to take a sack.

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 21, 2008 12:07 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I wonder how many 3 an outs we'll see

combined? Will either team get a 1st down?

by KCFanatic on Sep 21, 2008 12:08 PM CDT   0 recs

i dont want to be negative

but this could end up being one of the worst nfl games i’ve ever watched. but i can’t seem to look away….

by The DBowe Show on Sep 21, 2008 12:10 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

It may end up being like a train wreck

but at least we’ll know more about Thigpen at the end of the day =)

by KCFanatic on Sep 21, 2008 12:12 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Sacintosh,

What a waste of roster space!

by Eric Allen on Sep 21, 2008 12:10 PM CDT   0 recs

can't call him i-77 because roaf was sooo good

i have a feeling teams are going to move their best rusher to the right side all year….just like the raiders did last week w/ burgess and now the falcons are doing w/ abraham

Never giving up on your team is what makes you a good fan.

by kcisbetterthanstlateverything on Sep 21, 2008 12:12 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

run d

looking pretty good so far, im loving seeing tank and dorsey piling on for tackles; its like watching the future

by The DBowe Show on Sep 21, 2008 12:11 PM CDT   0 recs

until herm takes them out for the rotation

and turner has 60 yds rushing on a td drive

Never giving up on your team is what makes you a good fan.

by kcisbetterthanstlateverything on Sep 21, 2008 12:13 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Whenever I think about the Falcons...

I can’t help but think about our game with them in 2004 where we scored EIGHT RUSHING TD’S! I don’t even think Priest Holmes saw the field for a single play in the 2nd half we were killing them so badly.

Atlanta Falcons 10 at Kansas City Chiefs 56

Man, those were the days.

by stag on Sep 21, 2008 12:12 PM CDT   0 recs

oh,

and BJ Sams sucks.

by stag on Sep 21, 2008 12:13 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

tell us something new

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 21, 2008 12:13 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Yeah, but

that is arena football, you don’t score that kind of points in real football!

by Eric Allen on Sep 21, 2008 12:14 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

wow

look at that empty stadium. have to say, falcons fans are pumped about matt ryan. all 3 of them

by The DBowe Show on Sep 21, 2008 12:14 PM CDT   0 recs

Yup

“This offense can just not get a first down. And it’s not just today it’s been the first few weeks of the season.”

Wait…which team are they talking about?

by primetime 07 on Sep 21, 2008 12:17 PM CDT   0 recs

this offense is an embarassment

and it’s getting repetitive to keep saying that every week that herm edwards is our coach

Never giving up on your team is what makes you a good fan.

by kcisbetterthanstlateverything on Sep 21, 2008 12:18 PM CDT   0 recs

Unfortunately

boring games = lower ratings

I strive to be the person my dog thinks I am.

by KCking on Sep 21, 2008 12:19 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

I think I made a mistake

earlier in mentioning that since Colquitt is our best player, he should play as much as possible.

Obviously, Herm was watching the thread and thought “Hey, that fits in well with my game plan anyway – good idea!”

by Seth_C on Sep 21, 2008 12:22 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Penalty

Biggest gain so far.

Blame my wife!

by sir eccles on Sep 21, 2008 12:21 PM CDT   0 recs

“that’s a pass you really have to complete”. the announcers are spot on!

anybody ever see

die hard two on tbs? when they edit john mcclane’s famous quote?

“yippe-ky-yay mother falcon”

by The DBowe Show on Sep 21, 2008 12:25 PM CDT   0 recs

Mr Falcon

Could he be worse that the superfans? No. Of course not.

by ashleylat on Sep 21, 2008 12:25 PM CDT   0 recs
