Gannon all the way!
Need some o-lineman up there, where is Shields, Grunny, Roaf, Szott, and on and on?

Damn, I am spoiled!
Do not worry Chris, I am not crazy! Well maybe after this season!

Hey,
where’s the “All of the above” option?
Or I guess it could be “most of the above”, since we don’t need Green, Gannon and Dawson all at the same time. Of course, if we stick them behind the current O-line, we’d need all three before the game was over.
by Seth_C on Sep 21, 2008 10:49 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Ha!
True, true. None of those QBs is surviving behind our line.

Option
What’s the over/under for options plays today? I say 5.
by ashleylat on Sep 21, 2008 10:58 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Under
Herm wants to keep the element of surprise in his offense.
Wow, I can’t believe I just typed that.
by Chris Thorman on Sep 21, 2008 10:59 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Surprise
Maybe he should punt on 3rd downs. That would be a surprise.
by ashleylat on Sep 21, 2008 11:00 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Well not since you just
spoiled it. Now Herm and Chan are gonna have to try to come up with some plays to run on 3rd down!

Innovative
I don’t know why, but I like it..
by Joel Thorman on Sep 21, 2008 11:02 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
If things start going south,
Just punt on first down, it could be like a long pass play!
by Eric Allen on Sep 21, 2008 11:03 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Interesting...
especially since Colquitt is the MVP of the team.
And, after all, shouldn’t we be playing our best players as much as possible?

Nice touch
I hope Herm doesn’t read AP…he might take us seriously.

Remind me...
Why is Savage inactive?
by Joel Thorman on Sep 21, 2008 11:04 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Probably for the same reason Richardson is -
namely, no reason at all.
by Seth_C on Sep 21, 2008 11:06 AM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Alright, you got me.
I suppose I took the word “reason” to mean “understandable and/or rational reason”. That’s what I get for assuming things.

Ok, so I had a lie in this morning. The cat even obliged by not bothering me too much. So I think I need to finish my coffee before moving on to the bottles of Brooklyn Lager in the fridge.
I have to admit, I’m too embarrassed after last week to go out in public wearing a Chiefs top so I’m staying in.

that was so weird,
the play-action roll-out, and then an easy pass to the flat. what was that, some kind of crazy new-fangled futuristic play calling? the chiefs couldn’t actually TRY that sort of thing, could they??
by thehulk on Sep 21, 2008 12:35 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
No, we can't try that.

I Have Now Seen It
The shittiest quarterback ever to take the field for the franchise.
I’m at the point where this doesn’t even bother me anymore…all I want is for our incompetent head coach to get fired. And losing to two teams that were as bad as us last year is the way to do it. Especially since neither team has a QB that’s any good and the Chiefs still can’t stop the run with eight men in the box.
Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.

The only good thing I have to say about Thigpen is that he makes Brodie look REALLY good…

they're gonna pound the defense now.
And the Atlanta fans are gonna get nasty. The place sounds like the only remaining fans are completely wasted.
Whistles, flags. Interceptions. Punts.

Fire Larry Johnson.
He needs to shut his mouth about getting carries. the reason he doesn’t get them is because he’s not enough of a professional to learn to play his position. Running backs have to pass-block at this level.
Lary Johnson is the reason that Larry Johnson’s not getting carries. Not Herm, not Chan – Larry!

by Vince D on Sep 21, 2008 1:14 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Larry isn't getting the carries
because it would take 50+ of them to get him a 100 yds.
by Idahochief on Sep 21, 2008 1:16 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
No, Larry isn’t getting carries because they have to take him out when they have to shift to a pass-oriented offense. If he’s on the sideline, he can’t carry the ball.
He’s on the sideline now because of his choice to disregard pass-blocking. The press needs to hammer him on that point.
by Bleedingredandgold on Sep 21, 2008 1:19 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
I used to think he was better
But his team isn’t playing. No one is doing anything.
Whose fault is that?

exactly.

Return game
Get that idiot Sams out of there. He’s runing like the field is covered with broken glass & he’s barefoot. Put the kid in. He may not get more yards, but at least he runs like he wants to be there.

Thigpen’s not doing any worse than Croyle did, getting started. Maybe he can learn faster than Croyle.
Oh, and Thigpen doesn’t go out of the game if the defense thinks mean thoughts about him.
by Bleedingredandgold on Sep 21, 2008 1:28 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
thigpen

Thigpen should be cut.... AT HALFTIME
Like I said last week and will continue to say. This guy has no business playing in the NFL. Perhaps one day he could play in the AFL or CFL.
He can’t throw the long ball
He can’t throw the short ball
He can’t read coverage
He can’t throw on the run
I can’t wait for Croyle to return – he looks like Joe Montana compared to Thigpen.
Congratulations, he finally threw a TD to Bowe… it was an ugly pass that Bowe had to twist backward to catch on his back hip.
by Ochophosphate on Sep 21, 2008 1:33 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
And then Bowe busted a move
What a miserable half.
by Joel Thorman on Sep 21, 2008 1:33 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
what a high powered offense!!
was that Thigpen or Montana running the 2 minute drill right there?
by TimGrunhard61 on Sep 21, 2008 1:34 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
no it wasn't
it was a good catch by Bowe, it was a shitty pass by Thigpen… again.
The guy has no accuracy. If this was Madden, he would be in the 40’s at best.
