Does anyone know
of an internet radio station that will pick up the game?
Or will most people here be watching the game via NFL.com or a similar GameDay-like service?

Whoa, that's awesome
My dad mentioned this station a while ago, but I never thought to check out their website. :P
I’m getting a little frustrated with their “Listen Live” site. It’s telling me to make sure pop-ups aren’t blocked and that Firefox has the Media Player Plugin. I’ve done both, but I’m still getting nothing. What am I overlooking?

Not with this station
but I’ve had a similar problem before and ended up running it in Internet Explorer, which worked. Or if you hate IE as much as I do, you can get an add on for Firefox- IE tabs, that basically allows you to run IE in a Firefox tab. Don’t know if it will help because I can’t try it at work, but you might give it a shot.

That did it.
I just loaded it up in IE instead. The red “Click here to listen live” bar never appears in my Firefox window, but it showed up in the other. Oh well, I can put up with IE if it will bring me the game. :D

Disable firewall
If you have a firewall, try disabling that before clicking on Listen Live. Mine prevents the streaming of audio, but when disabled it works.

I figured
Gameday was the best time to knock Kansas and get the competitive juices flowing.
Won’t the game be on 101 the fox?

Come to the stadium
If it’s blacked out locally, it’s only because there are tickets availlable.

Blackout area?
Maybe I dont understand the blackout rules correctly. How do I know if I am in the blackout area? I Have looked everywhere for a map, cant find one. My understanding is that if KCTV broadcasts in your area then you will be blacked out. Is this correct? We dont get KCTV here in Central Arkansas so am I think I might be good. For some reason I feel like I will be screwed though.

Strange...
your best bet would be to catch the replay on NFL Network if you have it.
I may be mistaken, but I thought blackout rules only apply in the local market of the home team. They do this to entice people to buck up and go to the game. The threat is that if we don’t sell all of our tickets, then you can’t sit on your rump at home and watch for free.
If you are out of area I thought it would be carried regardless. In this case, since we are playing in Chicago, the blackout rules should keep Chicagoans from watching it locally if it doesn’t sell out. Since we are away, the BO rules shouldn’t figure in.
However, since it’s a preseason game, the normal rules may not apply. Maybe we’re relying on a feed from a Chicago station, and since they might blackout it might affect you in the KC area? Since NFL Network is rerunning it tonight at 11p cst, somebody must be taping the game for broadcast.

NFL Blackout Policy Excerpt
Since 1973, the NFL has maintained a blackout policy that states that a home game cannot be televised locally if it is not sold out within 72 hours prior to its start time…the NFL defines “locally” as within a 75-mile radius of the stadium. Therefore, a TV blackout affects any market whose broadcast signal penetrates into the 75-mile radius. Some primary media markets, such as Denver and Phoenix, may cover that entire radius and so the blackout would not affect any other markets. If a home game is blacked out locally because it is not sold out before the 72-hour deadline, one of the following things will happen:
-If the blacked out home game is a nationally televised game on a broadcast network, like NBC Sunday Night Football, where no other NFL games are played at the same time, all local stations inside the 75-mile radius must broadcast alternative programming (the stations have to program the time themselves, since other affiliates are carrying the game).
-If the blacked-out nationally televised game is on a cable television network like ESPN or the NFL Network, all cable and satellite television providers in the affected markets must black out the cable network’s signal to customers in the affected markets during the game (this is a condition of the channels’ agreements with both the league and the providers). In addition, the game is not simulcast on a local broadcast station in the blacked-out markets. Local stations would still be able to show highlights on their newscasts after the game has concluded.
-If the blacked-out home game is played on a Sunday afternoon, all local stations inside the 75-mile radius must show a different NFL game during that time slot (the network typically chooses the game). Also, NFL Sunday Ticket cannot offer the game into that area. As stated earlier, the doubleheader network can broadcast only one game into that team’s primary market (usually the #1 game), which is also designed to prevent people from opting to watch the other locally televised NFL games instead of going to the local team’s game. Again, the secondary markets would still carry a doubleheader. Sometimes, the networks will switch time slots so that the doubleheader network can still show its featured 4:15 game.If you’re in Arkansas, you’re fine.

Blockquotes Got Freaky
Basically, you should be good if you’re in Arkansas. I’m in Wichita so I think we get the game here because we operate through Cox Communications and it’s outside the 75 mile radius.

Only If You Lived In KC
Thanks to a mess of NFL and government regulations, people who pay for football access but are foolish enough to live close to their team still get screwed.
God bless the government.

Sunday Ticket
The only time you will not get a game on Sunday Ticket is if you are getting it on one of your basic channels (CBS, FOX, whatever). It doesn’t matter if it is blacked out locally or not.
Sunday Ticket does not carry the following:
-Games Broadcast exclusively on NFL Network – i.e. the Thursday and Saturday night games that start around Thanksgiving.
-Any game that is rescheduled due to weather or other reason. I missed the KC v. Miami game a few years back when a hurricane was en-route to Miami and they bumped the game up to Friday.
-Any preseason game, period.
Other than that, you will not miss a game ever. It will either be on S.T. or it will be on a local prime time channel.

now that I think of it...
since I don’t live in KC, I don’t know what would happen if you had Sunday Ticket and the local game was blacked out… I don’t know if the S.T. game would be blacked out too.
I’ve never seen it happen to a Titans game down here, but every game has been sold out to this point, so I haven’t been able to experiment.
But in Arkansas, you will be safe regardless. Does anyone in KC have Sunday Ticket that can confirm/deny my suspicions??

I think UCrawford answered it above
Sounds like if you live in KC with S.T. you’d still get hosed during a blackout. What a crock of poo

Even If You Get The Sunday Ticket
You get screwed. The blackout policies just haven’t caught up to the current information age. You’d think they’d include some kind of pay-per-view exception for people who are actually subscribing to an NFL service.
