Take action and get Jackson!!!
While Chad Jackson is still unproven, and recently cut from the Pats. I think he would be an excellent addition to our thin wide reciever corps. Just because he was cut from the Pats doesn't nessecarily mean he is a bad receiver. Players come and go from the Pats for many reasons, buried behind talent, Belechick's charm, and many more. The only concern that I would have is whom would be getting the axe. We've already cut Tyron Brackenridge, a player who I was quite fond of. I would sure hate to lose Dantrell Savage. I assume he would be next. Considering they've kept B.J. Sams around for some reason.

While I thought that I had surely gotten to this first. It's come to my attention that the guys over at AA had already posted a near identical post. Either way love the idea.

Wow, I didn’t see his name mentioned among roster cuts today. Just because he was cut from the Pats receiver corps doesn’t say much as a lot of good receivers have come and gone through the years. Jackson particularly is a good fit for us because he’s young and has good speed. I would bet a pretty penny too his hands are better than Devard Darling’s

Should we just call it now and say the C-boys take him? They’re hurting for wideouts apparently and they don’t ever hesitate inking available talent

Not sure
If I am not mistaken. The two years he has been in the league he has less than 300yds. receiving. I am not sure he is any better than some of the young guys that we already have.
Injuries
Chad was injured most of his first 2 years. I was following him closely and had high hopes. He was supposed to be the “Donte Stallworth” replacement, but never quite made it. Word is he’s a great physical player, but had trouble with the playbook. I hate to use the term “third receiver”, but Jabar Gaffney ended up with that monicker behind Moss and Welker.

Are the Pats
even taking us serious? Lets face it we do not even know what we have yet.
