Who's on the Practice Squad?

Now that the final cuts are in, the Chiefs will need to determine their practice squad.  We know of course, that they will likely bring in a few players from other teams, but for the sake of discussion, which 8 players do you think will be coming back on the Practice Squad?  Remember, some players that have been in the league more than two years will not be eligible.  That means YOU Svitek and Stallings!

I'll go with...

DE Jason Parker
WR Kevin McMahan
WR Sergiori Joachim (freakishly tall)
OG Edwin Harrison
LB EJ Kuale
LB LeRue Rumph

I think they are waiting until the waiver wire feeding frenzy dies down and then they’ll cut Jackie Battle and try to sneak him on the practice squad.

Anyone else see Andre Woodson was cut by the Giants? I wouldn’t mind seeing the Chiefs pick him up and dump Thigpen (actually would prefer they dump Huard, but they seem set on keeping him around as the veteran presence).

I didnt like Woodson as a draft pick, but wouldnt mind him as a backup QB possibly for the future.

Yay on most.

Way no on Kuale; Octavien is worlds better. Octavien had the best preseason, IMO, of all the FA LBs, and should have been on the 53 IMO.

I really like the selections of Parker and McMahan, though.

Two trains of thought on Battle and the sneak

If they send him with all 20 something he could get lost in the shuffle and most people miss him. If they wait a few days, some dead eye scout could catch it easily.

I don't really think Battle is a super prospect anyway

He made the practice squad last year and didn’t play particularly well when he got in at the end of the regular season. He has looked pretty good in the preseason, but I don’t really know that he’s that big a risk of someone snagging him.

I still wonder with all these RBs if they won’t try to trade Kolby Smith for a 3rd round pick or something. I love Kolby and think he’s a good player, but I dont think he’s really starter material and we’ve got lots of decent backups now.
