Devard Darling
Many will call me crazy. I would not disagree with the majority, but time always tells.
This year will be a coming out party for Devard Darling. I have zero conclusive evidence of this. However, I get the feeling the guy is an adrenaline type player (ala Allen Iverson - practice? practice?). It is all about the games that matter. Obviously, with no conclusive evidence to back me up, it remains just a theory and gut feeling.
I love his build coupled with his speed. It will be a great compliment to Dwayne "The Arrow" Bowe and Tony G. I remember he had his best game on Monday night football against the undefeated Patriots last year...I think he may have had 2 TDs or 1 TD and another long catch (like 40-50 yards).
Anyhow, I am looking forward to seeing what he can do. It is clear that Herm and Chan are hiding him from other teams at this point. They will not have any video on him to start the season.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

So THAT'S the reason...
It is clear that Herm and Chan are hiding him from other teams at this point. They will not have any video on him to start the season.
I had high hopes for him early on myself. They’re not totally gone. But I going to hide my enthusiasm for him for a while so that noone has any video of it.
(To be clear, I liked your post and willingness to put your opinion out there, Red Shadow. I am not making fun of you. Good work.)

Interesting but possible
I imagine he will see a lot of single coverage, and if his speed is legit he may be able to bust a few big plays. Coverages will shade toward Bowe and Gonz. Darling just might be able to do something.
There’s got to be some reason that he’s still sitting at #2. If we were to base this solely on production in the preseason I would put about 3 guys firmly ahead of him and a couple others on his level.
I’ve heard his run blocking is fantastic.. but that can’t be the only thing keeping him there.

Well hate to correct you.. BUT..
He only had 1 catch against the pats last year for 53 yards and 0 touch downs
his best game was against cleveland when he has 4 receptions for 107 yards with a touchdown with a long of 42 yards
ugh.

I stand corrected
Thanks for your post. I remember he did have a long catch against the Pats, where he broke a few tackles. That stat line against Cleveland is pretty impressive. I would love to see a few games like that this season.
If everyone worked as hard as me, I would be out of a job.

Hiding or Invisible?
It is clear that Herm and Chan are hiding him from other teams at this point. They will not have any video on him to start the season.
More like invisible than hiding. And the Chiefs must have told him to stop his routes early and run the rong route occasionally just to make sure he didn’t get open long enough for that to get caught on film.
I truly hope you are correct and he’s an incredible #2, they’ve definately hid it from me =)
