Around SBN: Are The Orioles Bad Or Unlucky With Their Young Pitching?

"We’re not going to change our mind after three pre-season games. We said this is what we’re going to do and now it’s going to happen. We’re not going to blink. We have a conviction on how we’re going to form this team and what kind of team we’re going to build. We’re playing a lot of young guys and there will probably be some games in the season that are similar to the ones that we just played. But that’s part of it. You know that. These kids want to win; they’re very hungry to be coached; they’ve got great attitude."

Now I am trully convinced

DJ is really Herm! That little snippet there is exactly the way the discussion was all weekend. Come on admit it!

Herm will, I wouldn't

Just kidding. I started watching football during the last couple of years of Mackovic, then Frank Gansz. That was truely horrendouse.

Then Marty Schottenheimer came along and taught KC how to play real football. Compared to Marty, Herm is Mike Martz.

You’re on a roll, DJ. Not sure whether to classify this site as sports or comedy sometimes.
And when you have a game like the last one, a little comedy helps.

The open thread was comedy

I forget when, but the PARADE posted a picture of Nic Cage with a caption asking about jalapeño poppers.

Since you did pretty much the same thing

On most of the SB Nation sites as far as I can tell, I’d count my lucky stars to still be here. ;)
At least you took the time to make interesting remarks. And I can’t fault the entrepreneurship. It’s just the fuzzy spam boundary and what would happen to the sites if this type of thing were allowed to seep in. (big link plus sales line.)

I took ADD medicine once

“So what happened to me was I suddenly had an extra-long attention span. Like people would be commenting and the comment would end, and I get all mad and shit. "C’mon, man, there’s got to be more to that comment. I’m on pills here!” "

Major props to the first commenter to reference the original source of that “quote”.

Mitch Hedberg

He’s freakin hilarious – reminds me of Steven Wright, just not as dry, and maybe more crazy.

Mitch Hedberg

Yea, he was hilarious, I just can’t remember any of his stuff on my own…

(ha, now this looks like I was first…huh…)

same here

He’s one of those guys that you know was funny, but can almost never remember any of his stuff. Lots of short, stream of consciousness stuff… non sequiturs if you will.

Shame he died… but I guess he was a fan of the drugs… and not the friendly kind.

Making Excuses!

Herm’s making excuses already! And trying to save his job and paycheck for next season as well!
