The Injury Bug Bites Again, Again

To add to the already insane list of injuries this team has compiled this summer, add another one to the list: up-and-coming WR Will Franklin:

Rookie wide receiver Will Franklin left practice shortly before its end today with what he said was a right knee injury.

Franklin hobbled off the field with help from one of the team's athletic trainers. He later walked in the locker room without assistance.

I think one of you out there tempted the football gods. I don't know who it is yet, but I'm going to sniff you out and smite you myself before we lose the other half of our football team.

I'd get my affairs in order and get out of town if I were you. Make yourself right with Jesus and tell your closest you love them. You will be worm food by sun-down.

I am telling you it is Herm!

Look at his last year in NY! The guy is jinxed, as a former player he must have pissed the football gods off bad! He might think about making the deal with Obama, the anti-christ to get his team healthy!

...

A lame political joke? Really?

I hope

that this string of injuries turns out to be us getting rid of the injury bug in the preseason – maybe we’ll be healthy through the 16 games that count…

awww... what a shame

please don’t taint my football talk with politics :D

It’s like the old – “We don’t swim in your toilet, so please don’t piss in our pool.”

Last I checked there are no players, past or present sporting the name Obama… and the only McCain logged 1 year as a receiver for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1946.

Here Here

Lets leave the politics out of the site…

I thought it was funny

Although, politically, I disagree.

But, as we all should, I digress. Besides, the Chiefs are more fun anyway.

Are they practicing too hard?

I’ve always like Herm Edwards. He’s a class act and can develop good secondaries, but maybe Herm’s history with numerous injuries has to do with how hard he has his sqads practice.

I think its punishment

for all the swearing we did last year…

Football highlights

Are apparently green on this site. Cool.
If you google “football for real men,” does Matt’s comment come up first?
I have no problem with topical humor, Eric, but it appears most AP readers appreciate a politics-free zone as a refuge here. Probably especially true the next few weeks. When our young Chiefs will be the surprise team of the league!!! Go Chiefs! Football, football, football!

I know who did it...

I researched the past articles…took me three days, but I found the person who cursed us… It was

That guy over there!

Chiefs rookies

That’s 8 of 12 rookies that have missed time (according to an article I read earlier this AM). Wow!
