Emmitt Thomas: Hall of Famer

Emmitt Thomas, a Kansas City Chief from 1966 to 1979, is going to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this evening. Thomas is the eighth Kansas City Chief be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He joins Bobby Bell, Buck Buchanan, Len Dawson, Lamar Hunt, Willie Lanier, Jan Stenurud and Hank Stram. Here is a great article and set of video clips from NFL.com.
Thomas led the AFL with nine interceptions in 1969 and added three more in the playoffs -- including two in the AFL title game against rival Oakland and an interception in Super Bowl IV. The Chiefs were the last AFL champion.
Congratulations, Emmitt Smith Thomas. Leave your comments on the Hall of Famer's career below.

That may have been my most embarrassing mistake.

Thomas As A Coach
I’ve got to admit that I felt kind of bad for the guy last year. He’s been a long-time assistant coach since he quit playing, he finally gets his shot at a head coaching gig and he ends up running a team that was beyond saving last year (Falcons) after their head coach unexpectedly bailed. Doubt he ever gets a look after that.
Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.
