The Chiefs have kept their offensive lineup intact but a change could take place soon.
Coach Herm Edwards appears to be losing patience with right tackle Damion McIntosh, who missed today's practice with what Edwards called a sore ankle. McIntosh could be back to work as soon as today, but he missed a lot of practice time in Wisconsin with a sore knee.

Good when BA returns
That opens the door for Herb at rt. Could all these little dings on Mac be that he feels he is to good to need that much practice. Our whole o-line sucked last year as far as starters go, that includes him , hopefully he gets replaced.

B.A.? "You crazy fool!"
As in Sgt. Bosco Albert Baracus? As in “Bad Attitude” Baracus?

Am I late to the party or did the PARADE just perform another St. Chiefsmasday Miracle?

Taylor
I have to admit that I was never a big Herb Taylor fan like many, mostly because I hadn’t seen him do anything worthy of the admiration he was getting. I have to admit though, that he’s done a fantastic job filling in at LT thus far in the preseason. With McIntosh undable to stay healthy and Richardson looking like he needs at least another year, they may have no choice but to try Herb Taylor out at RT.

Mac is more injury prone than(easy DJ) Brodie.
At least when Brodie got the rib injury last year he came back and finished the game. Mac dings his finger and has to set out of practice. I thought Herm wanted toughness on this team.I believe Mac gets 7 million a year I believe, I have said it before I would try to run through a brick wall repeatedly for 7 mill a year.(at least until I was knocked unconsius a time or two!)

aye aye
This ankle of his is becoming consistently problematic. In my experience, ankles never get better… only worse. The best you can hope for is close to where it was before. The more you sprain and tweak it though, the more likely you are to do so again. Even if Mac is healthy for week one, I seriously doubt he makes it through the full season. On top of that, I think this season will be his last with KC.

McIntosh's Contract
He signed a 6 year deal that guarantees him $1.15 million this season. With $5 million guaranteed over the life of the contract, he makes about $2 million this year against the cap in both salary and bonus money. Releasing him this season would give us about a $4 million cap hit next year.
Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.

Correction
"He signed a 6 year deal that pays him a salary of $1.15 million this season. His $5 million bonus paid up front is the only thing that’s guaranteed (which works out to about $830,000 per year).

So is the cap hit $830,000?
I really wondering just how bad the ankle is with his attitude being removed from the Left.

It would be 830,000 times three, I believe, were we to release him after this year.
Because he is owed 830,000 a year.
So, the cap hit would be in the neighborhood of $2.5 million, something we should be able to eat fairly easily with our $40-some-odd million available in cap room.
