Kevin McMahan Lost His Job Saturday Night
Anyone else notice WR Kevin McMahan (#13) just completely give up after the Interception? He could have easily tackled Keys, but he slowed down at the 20 yard line.
Although an earlier post from Direckshun noted that he and Jabari "once again gave us sure hands, making the most of their limited opportunities," to give up that kind of a tackle is pretty unforgivable.
Here is the video (at 3:48) from NFL.com - the camera angle doesn't show the degree to which McMahan slowed down, but if i can find the Channel 5 broadcast later today, I'll post it

I think that's fair.
Good catch. If you look below the video they have a replay of that particular play.
I don’t know if McMahan would have caught him, but McMahan should have tried.

He should.
I noticed that too, and had it not been pre-season, I probably would be replacing a huge hole in my TV screen.
There is nothing I hate more than to see a guy give up. It just seemed to me like he wanted to prove he was fast enough to catch him, and when he did, he had no desire to tackle him.

Just to add to that.
Sippio looked awful on Saturday too. He had several balls bounce off of his hands.
I’ve like Sippio since he made the team, but that game may have sent him to the practice squad.

I dont know...
what the chances are, but Peter King is high on an undrafted guy NY picked up and may not have room for that I hope is a possible pickup…
Remember this name: Brandon London. He’ll be on an NFL team this year. He’s a free-agent Giant wideout from UMass, and when I watched him the other day, all I saw was a fearless, tall guy who caught everything in his zip code.

Bad play in the midst of some good plays
I wasn’t paying attention to who was chasing the guy down… I had already hit fast-forward on my DVR as the pick was being run back for a TD.
I will say that I thought McMahan made some good grabs in traffic, and outplayed Sippio and (IMO) Webb in that game. If you erase that INT play, I thought he improved his standing among the WR’s.
Price was impressive, I think he deserves the 4 spot above Webb. I think Darling and Franklin should be a tough battle for the #2. I really like what I’ve seen of Franklin so far.
