Five Questions For The Cardinals

Those of you who were around last season know the drill.

Each week we will come up with five good questions for our opponent.  Then, ideally, we can get them answered by SBNation's blogger for that particular team.

This week it's the Arizona Cardinals.  Revenge of the Birds is run by cgolden who does  a pretty solid job over there.

So in the comments section leave some questions for him and I'll send them off so he has a little bit of time to answer them.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

Leinart v. Warner

What would Leinart have to do to lose the starting job?

Line play

How good are the Cardinal offensive and defensive lines that will play during the first half Saturday? i.e. How much of a test will it be for the Chiefs’ line and what will be able to take away from the battle at the line of scrimmage after Saturday’s game?

Nice one

I was curious how Levi Brown was doing over there..

Good point

Herre’s a little background from last year regarding bad, bad, Levi Brown…

  • Selected by the Cardinals with the fifth overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.
  • Started 11 of the 13 games in which he appeared in 2007 at right tackle, missing three games due to ankle injury suffered in week three.
  • Part of an offensive line that did not allow a sack in five games in 2007 in which the Cardinals went 4-1.

So yes, it’d be interesting to see how things are going so far this year.

If Leinart plays

then Turk McBride or Boone will be the DE coming at his blindside…should be interesting

Is Leinart the reason...

… that the USC team has an outbreak of Jock Itch? Has he visited SoCal lately???

I kid… I kid…

Let’s talk Hightower- He’s sitting 2nd on the Depth Chart and helped bounce Shipp’s butt out of town. How’s his camp been? Is he a true #2?

Let’s talk Edge- The wheels looked rusty last year- what was his offseason like? Is he back and renewed or is he just milking the fat contract? Is he going to hold up for a full season?

Will Brenda Warner

Be able to take down Tank after he flattens Kurt? Had to do it! Will Anquan Boldin or Larry Fitz take our corners seriously or will they just figure it to be like taking candy from a baby?

How Do Cardinals Fans Keep From Lynching Bill Bidwill?

Sorry, but that is by far the worst team in the NFL. I casually rooted for them for awhile back in the early ‘90s when they’d built a nice little core of talent for their team (Rosenbach, Johnny Johnson, Eric Swann, Aeneas Williams, Tim McDonald)…but then Bidwill wrecked it with his cheapness and incompetence and I realized that it was a team perpetually destined for the cellar so I quit caring about them.

Anyone who can stay a fan of that team for more than a couple of years (basically long enough to realize that they have the worst ownership in the history of the NFL) without losing their sanity has got my respect for their devotion…there aren’t a lot of people who can stick with a team through 20 years of sucking (actually they’ve sucked since the 1940s, but they’ve also relocated twice so I doubt they’ve got fans remaining from the St. Louis or Chicago days who aren’t clinically insane and therefore don’t actually count as “fans” per se).

Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.

I'm a draftnik.

So I’d mainly be concerned with how their draftees have been working out.

Has DRC been everything and more he’s been billed to be? Has Calais Campbell got his gargantuan ass in gear? How about Iwebama on the other side? I loved WR Early Doucet as a 3rd rounder — has he looked alright? Brandon Keith, in my opinion, was a brilliant 7th rounder — have they moved him inside? How’s he looking?
