"[The Chiefs] don't say they're rebuilding?" asked Jared Allen, who had 15½ sacks last season before moving to Minnesota this spring. "Well, they should. They should've used it last year, too, because that's exactly what it was."

Again
“Clark has spent the past 22 years covering the NFL, sometimes as a beat reporter following the Chargers and San Francisco 49ers and sometimes as a senior writer for a website that we won’t mention here.”
From Clarks bio on ESPN.com.
Who exactly cares what Jared Allen thinks of the Chiefs now? He is still pissed at Carl and won’t say anything good about the Chiefs for the next few years.

a lot of people won't be saaying good things
about the Chiefs in the next couple of years. Rebuilding, especially here, doesn’t usually happen overnight.

I Noticed It When I Read The Article
It officially notifies me that I may now ignore anything Clark Judge has to say without penalty. If the dude’s too lazy to do the most basic research on a team he’s writing about, I doubt his opinions are going to be much more informed than the crap the trolls write on the KC Star comment threads.

Looks like he edited that part out
I couldn’t find mention of it when I just read through. He must have hastily cut it out when he realized what a funzanoon he was.
I know a lot of big time sports news venues don’t give the midwest much of a nod… that goes double with the ludicrous circus surrounding Brett Favre this year, but come on!! I’m with you UCrawford, this guy just launched himself in to “grain of salt” land as far as I’m concerned. Not that cbssportsline was a primary source of news for me anyway.
I’ll keep coming here… and to Gretz and WPI and such… you fellas are more informed than Mr. Judge.

Ahh... today's blogs and the informed fan
It’s nice of you, PV, to help out the poor professional writers who are not able to stay as up to date as the amateur fans on a blog. Good work. :)

Honestly, I'm Kind Of Glad Allen's Gone
Frankly, I wasn’t a huge fan. I mean, I respect his ability and I never bought the Chiefs’ snide comments about his lack of 4th quarter sacks (since there aren’t a lot of sack opportunities when the other team’s running the ball up the gut to drain the clock for a win), but the guy just sort of annoyed me. And I thought his little calf-roping sack dance was cheesy and pretentious. We got a good deal in trade for him, so I don’t really care what he has to say…kind of like how I don’t care what my ex-girlfriends might be thinking after I break up with them. Not my problem, basically.
