Kicker

I know that we have Nick Novack and Connor Barth, as kickers but neither really impresses me...Novack is always trying out for teams and has a career FG % of 60....60!!! and Connor Barth can't beat him out for sure at this point....that doesn't get me excited, so here is my solution, the Dolphins just released Jay Feely, who is not the greatest kicker of all time but is alot more consitent than Novack and at this point Barth....Feeley is 21-23 EX points and has a 91 Fg % we need the consistency....I think Jay Feely fits here better than anybody we have.

I thought he got released because he was old and injured?

If so I would pass on him, although he did make like better than 90% of his FGs last year…

Age & Contract

He’s 10 years older than Barth and he’s likely to get substantial interest as a free agent. It wouldn’t be the worst move if we signed him because he’s been outstanding for the last three seasons, but if he demands much of a contract, I’d say that we’re probably just as well giving Barth the shot.

Completely agree that Novak’s been terrible over his career, and if it were a choice between Novak and Feely I’d be yelling for the Chiefs to grab Feely.

Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.

janky link

Sorry man, your link went berserk on me. Here is a better hyperlink for those interested.

Very interesting indeed. No matter what it sounds like we will be in better hands (or feet you may say) than last year.

I say...

go with Feely….especially if he can kick it into the endzone…we will need some of that…
