Training Camp Monday PM Update
Music to my ears, Mr. Gretz:
Offensively, the nicest play was a bomb from QB Brodie Croyle to WR Dewayne Bowe down the middle that would have gone for big, big yardage in a game. Also, RB Larry Johnson had a nice blitz pick up on one passing play.
From the mothership on the state of the wide receivers:
Beyond Bowe and Darling, WRs Jeff Webb and rookie Will Franklin seem like solid bets to make the roster. Ten WRs dot the Chiefs camp roster, meaning half of them will probably be gone at the end of the month. So if the Chiefs do keep five receivers, that means there’s quite a battle brewing for that fifth, and possibly final, spot.
Herm doesn't sound as pessimistic about Dorsey playing as the rest of the Chiefs front office does:
We’ll see. I’m always cautious. He needs to practice and I don’t want to put him in harm’s way if he’s not 100%. It was good to see him out here today. Tomorrow we’ll give him a little more.
Doesn't it sound like he's leaving the door open, even a little, for Dorsey's return in the Arizona game?
On an unrelated note, I'm thinking we forget about the offensive line and implement the A-11 Offense. Hey, it would take care of our porous offensive line. (And yes, that offense is legal.)

Love that picture
but you know that secondary of Emmitt Thomas, Jim Kearney, Johnny Robinson and James Marsalis didn’t stink either. Still can’t figure out why the best free safety in the history of the AFL is not in the Hall of Fame
A-11 legal?
Not to nitpick, but I found this quote at the link you posted:
It is not legal in the NCAA because of language that implies that it must be obvious that the offense may kick in such a formation,[6] as well as the National Football League, where numbering restrictions are even more strict.
But can you imagine coming out in a formation like that. The defense wouldn’t know what the heck was going on.
