The Oakland Raiders signed Adam Archuleta to a contract on Monday in a move to add depth to their defense.
Archuleta was at the Raiders facility Monday morning and left with trainer Rod Martin to take a physical. Archuleta was expected to take part in the night practice. Oakland released safety Greg Wesley to make room on the roster.
That was quick for Wesley.

Kind of a suprise
I thought he’d contend for a starting spot there. He was so anxious to get released by the Chiefs too. Now he’s gonna have to scrape just to make a team roster. Say what you will about Herm, I think he knows what he’s doing with the secondary.
Archuleta's Horrible
I know that Greg Wesley’s closer to the end of his career than the beginning, but he’s still a better safety than Archuleta. All that dude does well is fill out the uniform…overall he’s a terrible football player. Wesley will find a job somewhere I’m betting.
Supporting the lesser of two evils is still supporting something evil.
And I Think The Release
Is more about what a joke the Raiders personnel department (aka Al Davis) is rather than a negative reflection on Wesley.

Seriously
I’d take Wesley over Archuleta any day.
Oh well… at least we likely won’t face Wesley 2x a year now. Smooth move Jokeland.

Archuleta
Was signed in Oakland to play Linebacker, they were just making roster room, not necessarily a statement saying Wesley isn’t as good of a player, but more that they need help in other areas.
Is that definite?
I heard safety or linebacker – neither are definite.

If That's The Case
They would done just as well to move Wesley to linebacker. Archuleta’s a terrible tackler.
