It started as a head-scratcher.
Casey Wiegmann had started 111 consecutive games and made 7,062 snaps as the starting center for the Kansas City Chiefs. An impressive streak, but why would the Broncos sign him when they already had an icon center in Tom Nalen, whose 188 career starts are second in franchise history to John Elway?
