Not too Shabby

Untitled_medium

Sometime early this afternoon, Arrowhead Pride had its 1,000,000th page view. We're approaching 500,000 visitors for the life of the blog as well. Both of those are huge milestones in the blog world.

We'll probably hit a half million sometime around AP's second birthday at the end of July. Here are a few more meta stats for you geeks out there.

312 registered members (I think on the old blog it was over 550 last time I checked)

809 FanPosts (These were called Diaries at the old site and yes, this number includes all of the old ones as well)

It's also been nearly two years since I've slept in on a weekday. Sure, work helps with getting up but I've still made my first post of the day, 99.9% of the time, by 8 AMish. Even on days off. You early birds know the routine.

Call it passion. Call it a case of OCD. Whatever you call it, I sincerely enjoying running this site and everyone I've come in contact with because of it.

We'll have a more formal celebration and more pats on the back at the end of the month when we turn two years old.

Thanks for reading everyone.

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

Impressive

I like to think I’ve done my fair share contributing to those page views.

Congratulations, Chris.

Congratulations and thanks for all the hard work…thanks too for posting that early one. I have to be at work at 7:00, and after an hour or so, I’m ready to take a quick break and read AP.

Good job grasshopper

Soon the Chiefs will be coming here to get their info!

Congrats

I don’t know how you do it, Chris. You always have a post up before I’m even up. Great work, great site!

I'm sure I speak for everyone...

when I say that we all greatly appreciate the hard work and effort you’ve put into making Arrowhead Pride, though not the biggest, the best Chiefs fan site on the net.

Whats even more impressive is the quality of the fans your site attracts. We have very few rude or obnoxious posters and can (usually) have great debates of our different points of view without it becoming personal. That speaks well of the environment you have set up here at AP.

Arrowhead Pride has been the first website I’ve checked when I log on every day for the past year or so and will continue to be in the future.

That's my favorite

The high quality of our discussions and our commenters.

+1

1. Tone of posts is excellent (positive, respectful). But without rose-colored glasses. Well, not totally.
2. First with the news. If you want breaking news, it’s weird that this site consistently beats kcchiefs.
3. Facts galore.
4. Inolvement by many. “Fanposts” encourages that more than the word “diaries.” Seems picky. Also, the occasional selection of a fanpost for the main area is well done, and probably motivational.
5. Moderation by Chris and others is superb. Not defensive. Encouraging others. Consistent. Dependable. Passionate.
6. Site platform and appearance are top-notch.

Good work, Chris, and others!

New

I am new to the site and the whole concept. This has become a routine part of my day. I recently moved to Florida and it is nice to have such a great site to keep up with the pulse of the Chiefs. Congrats to you and thank you!

Yep...

I have AP bookmarked, and I check it pretty much every time I get on the internet for new stuff.

The community aspect is nice

Because there is always a new comment or fanpost whenever I log in.

Great web site

I cannot commend you enough for how overwhelmingly great this website is. I found this site about 2 and a half months ago and have checked it religiously multiple times a day ever since. The fans that post on this web site are very respectful and knowledgeable. We all have our own opinions and this site allows us to talk about them in a civil manner with no nastiness like on some other chiefs blogs.

Another aspect that I enjoy is that almost everybody I run into on this site is a very passionate chiefs fan. I love the fact that I can get on everyday and see some very intriguing chiefs talk everyday. I have many friends who claim there die hard fans but don’t know anything about them until Sunday at noon. This site gives me an opportunity to actually see what real die hard chiefs fans think.

As for the official KC Chiefs web site it has nothin on AP.

I look forward to more good info in the future.

Just wait

until Training camp starts…there will be opinions flying all over the place…

Chris, at this time last year, wasn’t the Huard/Croyle debate in full swing? What gives? There has to be some controversial topic we can all get fired up about.

by PVChiefsfan on Jul 8, 2008 11:32 AM CDT to parent up   0 recs

It was Huard v Croyle

And we waited for what seemed like years to get Trent Green’s butt out of here.

That one was B-O-R-I-N-G.

by Chris on Jul 8, 2008 2:33 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

What can we stir up this offseason?

Tank v Edwards or Webb v Darling v Franklin just don’t have the controversy that Huard v Croyle had…

by PVChiefsfan on Jul 8, 2008 3:11 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Harris Vs Williams

That is really the only battle right now.

by cmpotter on Jul 9, 2008 4:56 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Is it even a battle?

Has Williams run as the 1st string MLB at all this offseason?

by PVChiefsfan on Jul 9, 2008 9:18 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Not sure

Actually I think Edwards is running at MLB and WIlliams is outside. Maybe we can go with Carr vs Surtain.
