There's a pretty good story in ESPN The Magazine now about former Chief Jared Allen's fight to stay sober. In it, Allen's best buddy when he was in Kansas City, Boomer Grigsby, talks about the party atmosphere in the NFL (Allen refers to it as a perpetual spring break).

The story describes how players get ripped after games on Sunday, boozing it up in the stadium parking lot and then at clubs afterward.

"You want to live the rock star life," says Grigsby, who like Allen, is working elsewhere these days. Grigsby is with the Dolphins.
