Good answer
Chris Thorman: I wouldn’t read much into the practice length. Vermeil was working with a much more complicated offensive playbook, necessitating longer practices. The current playbook is much simpler than the Al Saunders’ version.I don’t think the shorter practices have any in-season effects, either. Players known for staying in shape remain that way regardless of practice length. A Vermeil three-hour practice isn’t going to fix poor work ethic in any player who isn’t already self-motivated.
Nice job on the round table, Chris!
Behind the scenes
So Chris, is the roundtable done by phone or on a computer chat? When is it done? Saturday? (It seemed that perhaps the Chris Long statement was edited after the fact.) Do you know the questions ahead of time, or is it all off the cuff? Just curious. Good work.
The Long statement was edited
Just an email Mr. Wendler sends out. I did it Sunday morning.

Welcome
Just thought it would be “easier” for someone else other than you to post the fact you were in the roundtable. Although, you could easily work it into one of your multi-topic morning updates. And I believe that people around here would be disappointed if you didn’t mention it. So please be sure to let us know as those things happen!
No kidding, Chris!
Nice work. Very interesting read.
